A possible bug with the new show page and it's a strange one

If you navigate to to the ‘coming soon’ section of the content Explorer on the website. Some of the shows listed in this section come up as not being available in your region, but only when using the new show page not the old-style show page, meaning there is a disparity between the content Explorer and some of the new show pages.

If I remember correctly the content Explorer isn’t supposed to list shows that either aren’t available in your region or aren’t going to be in the near future, so everything that is listed within the ‘coming soon’ section should be available within your region should it not? I’m located in the UK by the way

I have reported this already through the survey that they give you the opportunity to navigate to when using the new show pages, but is anybody else seeing the same thing.

This issue is occurring for me on the following shows that are listed as coming soon

  • More Than Friends
  • Do You Like Brahms?
  • Flower Boy Ramyun Shop

That content Explorer always shows me all shows even those “not licensed in your region” it is pretty useless in my eyes, because when I chose Standard Pass content I often end up with zero channels.

Bug or not the last changes there didn’t improve this, the only good thing was to sort it by years so not to get too confused, but that option did get cut too.
I am located in Germany

Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is an older drama, that was on Viki and was not accessible but seems like it is again.

Do You Like Brahms? Seems to start in 10 days?

More Than Friends - Just got a (last minute) license I think, don’t know when they will start to add episodes.

@lutra Do You Like Brahms? Is indeed available in 10 days, but I can only confirm that because I switched back to the old show page on Firefox whereas I have moved to the new show page on Google Chrome. I don’t get the not available in your region message on the old show page either For the show in question or the other shows that I mentioned.

There’s definitely something strange going on and I think this is something they’ll have to look into, because it’s going to confuse people :thinking:

I think they will change it in the future, don’t ask me when but every time a feature is kind of neglected it will be “improved”.

And well yes, using a laptop, Firefox and still at the old page.

When I access Viki (app) on my tablet without logging in, the new pages show what you’re talking about-- that it’s coming soon or not available. But when I log in, it goes back to the old style and the shows are available…However the old style is always there in my desktop version(Google Chrome). Weird.
I found this with the k-drama ‘Go Back Couple’.
I’m actually glad it’s the old style when I log in…I’m comfortable with it and like it MUCH better.
