Questions:

  1. Can you search for a specific collection? (It just seems like endless scrolling through random stuff on the fan collections page-- is there a way to filter?)

  2. Can you search for a specific user? To find their collections, reviews, etc? (I have the vague notion I’ve been ‘found’, but not sure how that is happening…)

  3. Do certain users-- like contributors, etc-- have more access to other users’ info/tracking than others? (Otherwise, I have a sad little image in my mind of someone sitting and doing that ‘endless scrolling through random stuff’ I mentioned earlier.)

No, not on Viki. But you can definitely google it. If you type in the collection name (or just keywords) and then append ‘viki’ to it, Google might give you what you’re looking for.

You can’t search, but if you know their username, then you can edit your profile URL and add the username there.
Mine is: https://www.viki.com/users/shraddhasingh
Just replace ‘shraddhasingh’ with the username you’re looking for.

No. I believe they’re just more experienced with the site, that’s why they know more than an average viewer. I, as a viewer, didn’t know a lot of things until I became a contributor.

Aha! Thank you, that answers my questions!

And adding “/reviews” is a convenient way to check out all of someone’s reviews on one page. Got it.

It feels weird to say this to someone with “stalking” in their name :joy: , but you can click on “follow” to find users you looked up easily next time. On the main page of their profile, under their nickname, there is a ‘Follow’ button.

As for yourself, you can see if you have any followers in your profile - connections - followers.

Haha, I felt “the irony” when I read the post and the username  but I believe @stalkingbeans are “beans” that are more into “stalking” dramas and celebs  (let me know if I’m wrong hehe).
Happy “stalking” :star_struck: :star_struck: :star_struck:

Tee-hee :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
Would you say ‘following’ is just like pinning someone to your profile page-- kind of like a bookmark? It’s not, like, going to send you notifications about that user’s activities?

I’m always disappointed when a band reveals the meaning behind their band name, it’s never as cool or interesting as I want it to be. It’s more fun to make up my own meaning!

But, these beans are definitely into stalking dramas and churning out extremely polarizing reviews. Not so much following people or celebs, though.
