Well, lately we finally have some dramas on air but... is it me, or lately those 2 main love characters in a drama don't match at all?
Song Hye Kyo with Park Bo Gum? I think that's terrible as 2 main love (character) couple in a drama! It has nothing to do with their age! She's very young looking so age doesn't affect the love scenes. Is just that his so exaggerated innocent looking self and acting, needs a childish like girl to make the love scene really work! That's my opinion.
Lately, I feel they're pairing couples that is obvious, even in real life they would never look at each other. I think they are not analyzing things better when it comes to matching actors/actress in K-dramas.
You remember the Undateables? In my opinion those 2 should have never been paired in a drama. I never felt the chemistry between them, which is what the dramas really needs to be awesome. LOVE Chemistry between the two main characters, is eesential in any drama! Those 2 had zero love chemistry, their acting was forced and painfully boring.I felt so bad for them but especially for her since she's in my book a GREAT actress.
And we have now...What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? Although rumors are going on, they are a real life couple. When it comes to dramas they were no match at all. I tried really hard to watch the drama but they didnt made me feel the loveeeeeee....Even in one kissing scene that it was obvious they are kissing for real. Check it out.
I REPEAT, this has nothing to do with their age or ''beauty'' is an existing special chemisrty when they look into their eyes, their lips, something that clicks needed to see them as a couple. There are several more dramas that I couldn't stand watching bc I didn't see the beauty of romance in them like in ABOUT TIME. It wasn't their age difference that killed the romantic feel it was that he looked so unromantic in that drama and it had nothing to do with his role.He looked uncomfortable and it came out of his pores. He couldn't let it go.
I believe when one of the actor/actress don't compliment the other, it affects the whole drama in general. I have to like to see the couple as compliment to each other as a couple to like the drama. Like I said before, AGE is not important in my book. I was married to a younger guy for 17 years, so age is but a number. Age difference in a drama doesn't bother me is just the feeling of love to be so palpable, enough to transpire through the screen and touch our emotions, and that's what makes a drama feel real.
