@erniebc1982 If you can’t find the Greetings! mail from Discobot or have delete it then just start a new mail message to Discobot with the words in the body of the message as show

All right, I got it, you start having a discussion with a bot by private message.
Another question: what do the certified and licensed badge do? What are they good for? It’s just something that’s displayed on your profile page, like the other badges, or does it give you some privileges, things you can do etc.?

I did get messages from bots when I first started, but no tutorials. The badges and new “powers” just came as I posted more.
But I guess that Certified badge is a well-kept secret…

The Certified badge has been around for a while, but when Discobot messages you he doesn’t tell you that the tasks he’s giving you will result in a badge. The Licensed badge is newer, it wasn’t around when I started on Discussions.

Even now, he still doesn’t give me tasks. All I found out just now messaging him is that I can let him say a quote, tell my fortune, and roll a dice.

Weird, I guess Discobot doesn’t want you to get the badges.

The first task is in the greeting message, bookmark it and it knows!
