Good decision. I will say I liked the way it ended but her feelings towards the main guy were NEVER clear and for no good reason. I blame her wooden performance.
I would say May Queen. I never couldāve finish it. Protect the boss cast was kinda a mess. I mean Jisung was aight but the lead woman donāt fit with him. Me too flower. I want to get this out. I canāt stand drama with the lead girl older than the guy. It just feels weird to me the guy are better off being the oppa instead of calling them noona.
This my list
- Mary Stayed Out All Night
- Full House take 2
- Fashion King
- Boys over flower
- Paradise ranch
- Big
- Romance Town
- Love Contract
- Oohala Spouses
- Anna-san no Omame
- Miss no good
- Myung Wol the Spy
- Triple
Winter sonata
The musicalā very boring
These matters is all about preferences, I know. The list could go on and on, despite love the actor/actress, I never can finish Dr.Jinā¦ I just canāt. A fetus shaped tumor is too much, my brain froze. I donāt get it. I manage to watch some episode then adios, farewell,ā¦
really boys over flowers ?? for me it is the best show everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr except the female lead was the only flaw, it would 100000% better if it wasnāt her
Chizzygirl, I see youāve watched a lot of dramas. Iāve not attempted Paradise Ranch or Nail Shop Paris so Iāll take your word for it and skip them. But almost everything else Iāve watched and enjoyed. Like you point out, some fall apart in the middle and others at at the end.
For me Love Rain was a big snore at the beginning but at episode 5, present day couple, it really turned around for me. Got a great song for my playlist - the one played during the snow photo shoot: Verden Vil Bedras by Sigvart Dagsland. Unfortunately, it hit a wall and limped to an ending.
I was confused with Fashion King because I thought I was watching romance but it was really melodrama. The ending appears random but in the context of melodrama it wasnāt and in the context of the story of David and Bathsheba it makes perfect sense. Iāll never watch it again because the ending was a bit over-the-top for me.
I liked My Lovely Sam Soon and because a Hyun Bin fan because of it. But I rewatch episodes of dramas I really like. I have never rewatched this drama; so maybe I didnāt really like it as much as I thought. The lead crying in the menās room was great comedy, though.
My drama you need not watch is Snow Queen. Another Hyun Bin drama but goodness, it is so slow and not one character is worth caring about. But a young, unsophisicated Hyun Bin is still worth looking at.
As you say, this is just my opinion
Thatās a bit surprising, considering how most people rave about it. To be fair, itās not exactly something I would recommend. But it does seem like such a staple of K-drama land.
Nail Shop Paris was so bad that it earned the nickname āWTF Parisā on some sites.
Soā¦ I actually liked Nail Shop Paris when it first startedā¦ but I have never seen a Drama implode quite the way that one did. āWTF Parisā is spot on!
loool , the start was good then it turned to stupid show and its kind of repeating of you are beautiful in different story , nothing new
and the female lead voice was so annoying
I wouldnāt recommend Witch Yoo Hee (even if you like Han Ga In or Jae Hee), Mary stayed out all night (gosh, it was so boring) and and Biscuit Teacher (Gong Hyo Jin is awsome, but this drama didnāt rock at all)
Gong Yoo is the only reason to even try and watch.
I agree, there have been only 4 Taiwanese dramas that Iāve been able to watch for the most part because a lot of them tend to be tooooooo silly and overly animated. Plus, they seem to have a thing for gullible protagonists and the ācutesy innocentā gimmick can only go so far before it crosses over into annoying and a youāve-got-to-be-kidding-me level of stupid.
Its funny, because I didnāt like her acting in Boys Over Flowers, either. Especially the kiss scenes! She completely messed those up with her lack of interest. It was like her idea of passion was closing your eyes slowly and thatās it. I liked that drama, but it could have been betterā¦ without her.
I agree with chizzygirl. The first 2 times that I tried watching Reply 1997, I honestly could NOT get pass the first 15minsā¦ thank goodness that I gave it another shot because I tried a 3rd time and once the story line picked up, I couldnāt stop. The main character is fiesty, I love her and the leading male (I cant believe I forgot his name) was so awesome in the role.
Really? I might even try one more time, I still donāt understand why I didnāt like it, but most of my friends who also watch dramas, loved it.
Oh man, i tried to watch History of A Salaryman about 3-4 times and couldnāt get past the first episode. I forced myself to stick with it because of all the raves about it and it ended up being one of my favorite dramas. Give it another chance if you have time and if you still arenāt into it by the 5th or 6th episode, drop it. Iāve watched Queen in Hyunās Man and Coffee Prince till the 6th episodes and still canāt get into them. I will keep trying with Coffee Prince only because of my love for Gong Yoo.
Iām with you Debbie. I had to try several attempts at Coffee Prince too before I could get into it, but it wasnāt bad at all. Iāll even give it up to Yoon Eun Hye for being able to play such a good role as style-careless tomboy (and I typically dont really like this actressā¦ she can act, donāt get me wrong! I just simply get a bad vibe from her like she may be really arrogant in real life)
