I submitted a QC application 3 weeks ago, but I still haven’t heard back. I might be moving out of the country very soon and I would still like to sub and watch shows. How much longer do you guys think I should wait before submitting another application?
Thought it is given automatically now? At least it was given to me automatically. I didn’t even ask for it.

Applications and submitting channels take over a month for me to hear back from them. I had emailed the Help Center a few weeks ago, and they said that they are extremely busy.

I think it may depend on who your CM is. In my case I was given QC status because 1) CM thought I was valuable enough a contributor to have it 2) She asked if I wanted to be on a QC ONLY show.
(2 was the reason for the action. 1 was the justification). I believe I got it in 2 days time. Maybe 3?

I got it weeks later, but it around January, they were going through a transitional phase. I sent them a message to the Helpdesk, too, because there was a problem with my profile url.
I also thought that it was supposed to be given automatically by now.
If you are worried, you could try sending a ticket through the helpdesk, but if you meet the requirements, don’t worry; it will come sooner or later and then you will be set.

if a channel manager or a moderator nominates you using this email : support@viki.zendesk.com
then they usually give you your qcor status within a week or 10 days maximum. And the viki staff always answer me by email.
Sometimes when you obtain the qc status for a few days you can’t open the restricted series. this is a very common bug for new appointed qcors. You should try logging out and then logging in again.
Usually then everything works. if for any reason that doesn’t work email viki staff again using the same email i told you.

I submitted a QC application a month ago but I still don’t have the status. I heard that other people were given the status in less than a week, so I don’t know what to do. Maybe there’s a problem with my application should I contact Viki Support ? Do you have the QC status ? How long did it take for you ?
I have the same problem, I sent an application more than 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything, but I read all the other comments and decided to mail to support@viki.zendesk.com

I got mine in less than 3 days.
So after sending that mail did they give you the status ?
Yeah I was thinking of doing that but I wasn’t sure if she was supposed to do it directly or if I could ask her. It seerms like a good idea.
Hello ^.^ Yes, I did eventually receive a QC status. Since I was moving I decided it would be best if I messaged my channel manager and I got my QC status in less than 2 days. Sometimes they’ll nominate you if they notice you’ve been really active on a particular channel, but feel free to ask! They’re really nice and I’m sure they’ll help you out. Good luck!
