I used to routinely receive notices whenever new episodes of my “Favorite” shows were available, but I notice these have fallen off lately. What can I do to make sure I find out when the newest episodes are posted?

You mean on your phone? Because i got the notifications too and after reading this post i realized that mine are also gone or very rare… did you look into your settings? maybe something got changed there
