Viki has been releasing Korean dramas dubbed in English. Would have preferred they are released in Korean native language with English subtitles. A lot of essence is lost in this dubbing - I find it hard to watch.
you have a choice to pick your soundtrack
You can switch it back in the video player. Click the settings gear while watching and change the audio track from English to the original Korean audio. That way you get subtitles with the original voices instead of the dub.
It doesn’t work on smart tv. ![]()
Oh no. ![]()
I’m sorry to hear that.
Maybe try to ask the help center to guide you. ![]()
Have a nice day. ![]()
You need to change your settings directly in the app on your smart tv, or login on your pc and change the settings there. On the website it’s under account settings → settings → scroll down to language settings.
@shaldane168
Agree with @suhreals, you can change the audio language on Viki. I did that some time ago. I’d never watch a dubbed Kdrama or Cdrama.
Unlike Viki, I know under Hxxu/D+, you cannot change the audio language for some newly released titles because they are trying to “make ppl” watch the dubbed version. However, (for some) they do release the original language version belatedly.
Shaldane, I’m watching Viki on my Samsung Smart TV with no problems. It’s your acct settings. On the computer or your phone, go to your settings and adjust them there. If that doesn’t work, you need to go to the settings on your Viki acct on your Smart TV. It exists. There should be a “cog” on the screen, go to that, then click “audio language”… then change to “original audio” or system default, or even “한ęµě–´â€ť
@all. I did set the audio to original or default and it didn’t work on my Sony TV. Tried logging in and out of the app a few times before it could work. Think could be issues with the network or router as I did notice that sometimes the screen freezes for a second before it goes back to normal. Thanks all for your help. ![]()
