Hi! My name is Angela and thank you so much for reading my discussion post. I would like to ask a quick question for the community to answer please:
- How did you get into K-dramas? <3
- What in the discussions do you like talking about?
- Did you make any friends in this community?
- How do you contribute to this community? Maybe as a translator?
Thank you so much!
- How did you get into K-dramas? <3
Well, I really donāt remember how it exactly happened but then I was just here all of a sudden. My affection for asian cultures started more than 10 years ago, when I was a big anime fan, then I moved to manga/manhwa/manua ādistrictā and then ālive actionsā. Viki was introduced to me by a friend few years ago, so I guess my K-drama addiction (and also T-drama, C-drama) started back then.
- What in the discussions do you like talking about?
I usually like talking about anything that catches my eyes here in discussions topics, but mostly I talk to other hungarian Viki members about casual things and translations (though our hun topics are kinda deserted nowdays, we need some reunion :P).
- Did you make any friends in this community?
Surely, I met some nice people here, but mostly just from my country, Hungary.
- How do you contribute to this community? Maybe as a translator?
I guess I should call myself a āhardcoreā translator, since my contribution blew up in the last year as a volcanic eruption. >< (This also shows Iām totally an addicted person and I donāt have a LIFE next to my work and Viki).
I also function as language moderator, though itās kinda hard with a small hungarian community, but frequently I have some tries to get involved more people into subbing business (sending out a tons of invitations to my projects and Iām happy if I get 1-2 replies ><), thus I like to take a role as a mentor, too, for a flourishing future!
Lately Iāve completed Seg101 Project, so I learned a lot about the mysteries of segmenting. I havenāt had any official segmenting jobs so far yet, though (sooner or later thatās gonna happen, too! :P)
AND also I started to work as Channel Manager to taste that, too.
Ok, I hope my answers were satisfying enough.
