No, the gas prices if anything, were going down when the war in Ukraine blew up, and by the second week, the gas started going up by the day. In California, is $7 a gallon (in some parts).
Here in Brooklyn is cheaper than in Manhattan. In Manhattan, the gas price is going up to $5.79. Long Island, NY is cheaper by at least 10 to 20 cents less. But is too far for me to fill the tank, so it won’t work for me.
But when it comes to Gasoline, an honest Gas station is our best option, and BP is the cleanest gas I can fill my tank with.

It’s beyond annoying at this point. Not only do they have that, now they’ve added this add for the app at every new opening of the website, regardless if you’re using the very same device the app is on,

I think of Viki as the heart of Asian entertainment, but in its attempts to outdo Netflix as a platform for streaming entertainment content, it is doing soooooooo poorly.
My view is: stick with what you know. Don’t try to be a fried chicken joint AND a five-star restaurant AND a corner store AND a grocery store AND a farmer’s market all at the same time. Unless you got enough really smart staff who can run each subsidiary so the accounting ledger shows each one churning out profits–and not in Bitcoin.

Just saw this article today. Selena getting a new album of previously unreleased material on March 31, 27 years after her death. Her brother is producer of the album and said one song on the album was recorded by Selena at age 13, but the brother has digitally manipulated the track so that it sounds like Selena’s voice at 23 years, which was her age when she died. Wow. I don’t even know what to think about that. It kind of scares me- feels like we are one step closer to just robot voices. Hard to believe Selena has been gone that long. I was living in TX when she died and it was huge news. So sad- she was working on an English language album at the time of her death. I really think she could have been a world superstar, much bigger than people like Jennifer Lopez. Selena really had star power. Her Disco medley performance at what was to be her final concert- the sold out show at the Houston Astrodome in 1995 is legendary. She was honored postumously in 2021 with Grammy Lifetime Achievement award. It’s too bad that they don’t really include the Lifetime Achievement honorees in the main broadcast- no speeches or music tributes.

By the way, the price of the gas before it started going up in the gas station by my house was $2.79, and it was down to $2.39 before it went up to 4.09 (last time I put gas). It must be higher by now. I try to use my car as little as I can, so I’m just keeping my treatment appointments, and other stuff like mall visits etc. are now on hold.
In Russia, I saw a YouTuber who showed that before they paid 50 cents to a $1.00 US money for gas, and now it went to $2.00 and a bit more a gallon, and now they’re going crazy. But of course, the money there went down so much that they have a reason to go crazy. A teacher in Russia earns $400 USA dollars a month, and my niece earns here in US. $65,000 a year.
