I caught my son microwaving something on our ‘fancy’ plates (the ones for special occasions that we never actually use) the other day. They have a ‘gold’ band around them. I was like, “You can’t use those to microwave. What were you thinking?!” And he’s says, “I wondered why it was sparking.” Oh my goodness, that kid.
You know, in his defense, if no one tells you, how are you supposed to know?
Wise words.
He has been told that metal cannot go in the microwave, but it didn’t even occur to him that the banding on these plates was metal. LOL
You know, speaking from experience, that happens
I have a topic Question to ask and now I don’t have to start a new THREAD!
When you watch a GREAT drama! Like I am loving Tomorrow With You Right now! Do you look at the writer and try to find more of their dramas!???
I know that I loved Vincenzo and the same writer wrote Junho’s Good Manager! This makes me want to watch it even more. Same with the writer of Goblin
I don’t usually but I should, some of my favorite dramas are written by the same writers.
I never have, but I don’t know why. However, when I fall for a particular actor or actress in a drama, I will immediately track down everything else I can that they starred in.
I think it is something I might start doing! Because especially if you love one of their dramas I’m sure you will love another!
Kim Eun-sook Who Wrote Goblin Wrote Secret Garden, Heirs, Gentleman’s Dignity and
DOTS (only reason I have a problem with DOTS is the FL) But I loved all these others!
I need to watch Mr Sunshine
Just like with authors of novels. I have several for whom I’ve collected all or most of their books. When you connect with a certain author’s writing, it’s reasonable to assume you’ll like their other work.
Yes, I do. There are the famous Hong sisters. I love most of their dramas.
I’m always looking forward to their next project.
I also love Zhang Kai Zhou’s work. He’s a director and worked on several dramas I loved:
- Battle of Changsha
- Love Me If You Dare
- When a Snail Falls in Love
- The Story of Ming Lan
- Ode to Joy 2
- Serenade of Peaceful Joy
Lately I became a fan of Kim Eun Hee because of her work on Kingdom and of Im Me Ah Ri because of Doom!
Mr Sunshine is great but her last drama, The King: Eternal Monarch wasn’t good. I couldn’t finish it.
I actually loved it! It all wraps up so well at the end that I cried and cried! Once I got all the symbolism! I loved it and well I love Minho! I will watch it again -
And my cat is
The KING - Eternal Ferris
Yes! I’ve been trying to track down all screenplays that my favorite writer, Kim Eun-sook, has written. She’s the one who wrote the screenplays for Goblin, DOTS, Heirs, etc. Some aren’t available but a large number of them are.
I should say I have been trying to track down the productions of her screenplays.
Additional edit: Sorry, I just noticed that others had written about this writer as well. @kdrama2020ali, yes. You should make time to watch Mr. Sunshine. I rate that right under Goblin. The bromance factor was through the roof!
I love their work, Master’s Sun is one of my all time favorites!
To be honest - The reason that Goblin is my #1 is the Bromance between Goblin and Grim Reaper - when they in the present realize at the temple who each other are - and goblin walks slowly towards grim reaper who is standing at the top like he did as the boy king - I hyper ventilated and had to pause the TV
@stardust2466_546 Your opinion on TKEM - I loved it! Once I felt all the feels as it came together.
I think that (bromance) is a big factor in Kim Eun-sook’s writing style, especially since about 2010 or so. You see it in A Gentleman’s Dignity, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and to a certain degree in TKEM. I loved, loved, loved TKEM and am seriously debating watching it again. I watched a bunch of TKEM Youtube clips this afternoon.
Oh wait for me! I’ll watch it with you! When do you think you might watch it again! I love MINHO’s deep voice in that! Such a good KING! And I know I will see more symbolism in it the 2nd time.
Those two I love them - Woo Do Hwan and Minho
Whatever works best for you! Probably not this week as I need to finish up The Great Doctor, (I’m enjoying eye-candy Minho in that one and I’m on ep 11 of 24!), and When I See You Again with dimpled cutie Jasper Liu. I’ll have my people contact your people to see if you are ready for a re-watch party in the next week or so. LOL!
Conspiring again! I am watching Tomorrow With You and need to finish Spring is Green and Nevertheless - (I swear I need a glass of cold water every time I try to watch that) Yes, though I know I will love it the 2nd time around!
