I’ve been seeing “doubles” lately. No, nothing’s wrong with my eyesight. 
The “doubles” are excess subtitles (of a foreign language I’ve never opted for) when watching dramas on Viki via Chromecast. All is well when I opt out of English subtitles and watch raw, or if I opt for English subtitles and do a relaunch (Viki app). But the problem would resurface all over again at the next session. This issue has been bugging me for a couple of weeks to date.
For example:
Has anyone encountered such an “excess” issue? (Or is it just me?)
Has anyone figured out a way to resolve such an issue?

I don’t have Chromecast anymore but lol I love it, I wish I had the same but for 2 languages we could pick.
The other language you have looks like Russian, is it always Russian that they show you?
The 1st sub in Russian seems rather short.

Two languages would be great, but I did not opt for that foreign language. It just somehow appears atop the English language.
Yes, it does look like Russian, or some Cyrillic-related language. Still a foreign language to me
Yes, the “excess subtitle” in this foreign language is what I have been shown so far.
The “short excess subtitle” is due to it being a little out-of-sync with the English subtitle.
Very puzzling
