I know we lost a lot of Thai dramas on Viki. Some users are unhappy this is done. However, do we have a team willing to take up a Thai project and ask for the audience to put in request?
Is there a particular Thai movie you would like to see on Viki?
Personally, I think if we have a team (s) willing to work on a Thai drama project and a big audience requesting that show, we will see Thai dramas coming back. What do you all think?
Well the problem was licensing… I don’t know if they will let us keep them on there… I wish they would open it up a bit more…
There is even a survey introduced by viki not an actual one, but still it’s there. Okay, it’s not only about Thai content, but since it was created by viki staff it should be checked by them as well, if someone is writing a comment there.

Another thing that has changed even if you get a fan channel approved, the videos have to get uploaded by viki, the fans are no longer able to use videos of another source.
I am really looking forward the return of the lakorns!!!

Unfortunately, I can’t sub in Thai. I am in the process of learning to segment using the tool provided by Viki. I don’t know how the community outside Viki segment, but I’m willing to learn. Hook me up if you are looking for help regarding segmenting.

It’s a fan channel (on Viki) but restricted from my region so I’m not sure if it’s subbed or if the videos are up or what but: The Secret Garland Garden: Pim Mala seems like an interesting TV drama from the description I’ve seen. I don’t know what it is - but I like the charm of body/gender-swap comedies.
well I just discovered that fan channel, I would love to see some of those shows on there be licensed! I plan to check the shows out and find out how to get them approved & licensed be it Tiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and any of the other countries too.

I used to segment quite a few thai lakorns on here several years ago but went on a long hiatus. I’m looking to be more active again. I did find that a ton of work we’ve done in the past were taken down, which makes getting licensed projects all the more imperative. The only way Viki will dedicate time, resources, and availability to thai lakorns is if the demand is there. I would encourage anyone who is interested in lakorns to promote and request titles for licensing through Viki’s request forms, so as to preserve the work of subbers and seggers for future audience.
