I’m sure most of us must be looking for certain Korean drama channels on Viki but they have not been created yet, so I think it should be a good idea to summarize them in a detailed LIST of channels we are dying to have created on Viki soon. Who knows? This list may be taken into consideration by Viki somehow :sunglasses:

NOTES:

  • Post a comment with the K-drama title you want a channel to be created here on Viki.
    I’ll update this list with your title request taking into consideration if the title is “already” licensed somewhere else or not.
  • Do not request for a DAILY Korean dramas

I actually hate that Viki is wasting subscribers funds in bringing tons of drama that were on DramaFever (both Chinese and Korean.) I either finished watching them, or already decided I have no interest in them. At the same time, Classic drama such as Medical Brothers with Jang Dong-Gun and Something About 1% with Kang Dong-Won are not completed, or barely started… (and I never understood why they even need to sub them, when Viki purchased the drama with the subs from Soompi TV.). It would make far more sense if Viki brought in some of the classic Kdrama that were on DramaFever such as “Sandgass,” or finally bring us “Eyes of Dawn” that we have been asking for years…

Unfortunately they didn’t get the subtitles together with the licence. I have asked them about this before, since I am the channel manager for medical brothers. And if you have a lot of time to check on it we are moving on the translation even if with baby steps. Currently we have ep 1-7 translated into English 98% , εp 8 94%, ep 9 84%, ep 10 70%, ep 11 89%, εp 12 60%, εp 13 10% εp 14 37%, εp 15 77%,ep 16 88%

I just don’t get it…KDrama bought it from Cruncyroll with subs, and immediately put it up with the subtitles. Soompi TV did the same… And only the mighty Viki cannot have it subbed 2-3 years later?
