I’m watching this fantasy mystery show, those funny “Heavenly Devil Beasts” are too funny to take them seriously on screen. The drama is lightweight and at times funny as far the directing goes, lol.

Beautiful story!

Reminded me of my daughter’s ballet days. She performed for many years with the local ballet company in the annual “Nutcracker” ballet at the local theatre. I still have her toe shoes from the year when she performed the role of “Clara”.

I didn’t know what to expect, but I like it so far. This is another good drama for women about women, conflicts and expectations between mothers and daughters, some situations mirror me and my mother… I think some thoughts, feelings and misunderstandings are common in each generation, depending on what mothers experienced when young. Whether certain failures or wrong choice of marriage, mothers want to prevent that their daughters go through the same, sometimes mean too well instead of just letting them go since daughters are adults.

Another aspect is the Asian or Chinese culture, but one can see slowly Generation Z is adapting to modern more independent and westerly times, perhaps more in bigger cities than in the countryside.

I usually avoid on-air shows, but I am currently watching three. I figured if I spread them out to one ep per night, it almost covers a whole week, so maybe waiting wouldn’t be as hard. (This plan is mostly working.)

They are: The Atypical Family, Dare to Love Me, and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.

All three are really great. I feel rather spoiled at the moment, but I had been in a really long drama drought, so it feels nice.

I found two very strange but interesting to watch movies. I’m requesting them here at viki.

FISH BOWL WIVES- Japan. So different and shocking to see how well they developed these different relationships that shows something that commonly happens in some marriage, but we rarely see depicted in movies/dramas.

If I NEVER Loved You - CHINA.
This movie/drama touches the heart in a different way since it portrays the woman as a sadistic way of loving a man that abuses her (mentally) constantly. It’s annoying, but gives us a reality check that we need to learn to love ourselves first to be able to receive the love in a normal way that we deserve. Although the ending MAY satisfy many; it didn’t satisfy me, myself and I at ALL. I wished it was a different ending, but I admit these types of women are common in the world. I recommend this more as a open your eyes.

I just finished rewatching The Longest Day in Chang’an. It was just as good as I remembered! There were a few plot holes here and there, but I was enjoying the show and was willing to overlook them.

I’m currently watching the 2003 Korean drama Rosemary. I could not find it anywhere (and by anywhere, I mean no streaming sites (famous and under the radar) had it), so I had to resort to buying the series on DVD even though it didn’t come with English subtitles. I figured I can understand enough Korean to get the gist of the plot. Lo and behold, it is dubbed in Mandarin Chinese. I can understand a little Mandarin, but not enough to follow the complicated conversations. It’s okay, though. It’s not the first time I’ve watched a foreign film or series without English subtitles.
