What NEW drama or movie you recommend?

I just finished watching The Handsome Siblings, a new Netflix original show that is a historical Chinese fantasy drama. I ended up loving it so much because it literally did The Untamed better than The Untamed. Before The Untamed fangirls try to tar and feather me, I have several reasons why The Untamed is not as great as people make it out to be, but in the end, I do still like that show. It’s just that the villain reveal and the villain arc were absolutely terrible, and the story itself was incredibly lacking. The second half of the show was just a historical " who-done-it " story, which was really lackluster. The Handsome Siblings, on the other hand, was so incredibly interesting on every level. There were parts I didn’t care for that much on a character level, but the story was very well written, much better than The Untamed. Just my opinion!

I wish The Handsome Siblings could come to Viki, because it made me cry, laugh, and applaud at so many moments. I recommend that show to anyone who is a fan of historical Chinese fantasy dramas!

Havent seen the handsome siblings, will look into it later

got another one, but kinda gory in first episode, The Victims Game, and of course the forensic fella has asperger syndrome. nope I don’t know so will have to google that oine, don’t think its like the savant one. anyway just 8 episodes so it shouldn’t be too bad, still watching the king and Rugal, into second episode, ok a bit better there, just finished my roommate is a detective, and if that was the ending, loved how they put all the mystery & murders together.
y’all have a great day!

oops, my mistake! I see my roommate is a detective, has more episodes!! wow so glad I looked today!

The term Asperger Syndrome (and all other variations) has gone out of use since 2013, but it’s one of the variants of what nowadays is called ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). They chose to take them all together because all variants have a lot in common and all of them can occur with high, low, or average IQ’s. The so-called savant one is extremely exceptional. Asperger is usually thought of as the variant with the highest intelligence and capability, also referred to as a form of “high-functioning autism”, but in reality it’s not that black-and-white.

I’m watching the two siblings on Netflix and I think they’re great too, I’m now in episode 36 and can’t wait to see what happens next

However, I’m comparing The Handsome Siblings, not the Untamed

my roommate is a detective, the detective detective of ming dynasty, and bet I got the title wrong, theres another one story of and title I am not able to find. story of a “herbalist” that learned about good & bad poissons. wish the ending could have been better, but this was an awesome drama. theres a couple on Netflix, one is guy got blinded Rohul(?) and the other a guy has a problem of associating with people, he is a foriensic guy. Rich guy poor girl, another memory thing.

thank you mirjam for my medical lesson! and its called ASD? hmmm interesting! I guess I got hooked on watching those dramas with those people in it, the good doctor, heal me kill me, heckle hyde & me, oh that’s love, I am sure I missed some. what’s so weird is I have a son that has characteristics of that Asperger syndrome. anyway, y’all have a great day!

well here’s a PS about my son that I mentioned, he knows he is; like that, said so what’s new? hehehehe

The drama I was thinking opf is called EVERGREEN ,and not on Viki. was a nice drama

I discovered one here on viki. good casting, almost like a “Charlies Angels” type, 3 misfits join together, I have only gotten on the first episode, was quite good.

I really like The King Eternal Monarch. I like the science fiction aspect. It’s a lot of fun to play with the idea of the parallel worlds. And yes, Lee Min Ho is playing another rich guy but he’s doing a good job at being kingly. Even though he is a king of hearts. lol He’s believable in the part and Kim Go Eun’s part is getting better now that she knows he’s a real king in another world. She’s not such a smart-A$# anymore but that was the part and she was so funny as the so NOT in style, ‘stylin’ ajumma. and Woo Do Hwan is terrific! He plays Jo Yeong a ramrod, uptight king’s captain of the guards (You just want to pull that stick out of his spine) and also the down to earth Jo Eun-seob in this world. I cracked up when his Eun-seob character stretched his neck toward the King of Hearts saying he wouldn’t be able to bow since his head was gone. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::rofl: What’s funny is that the King of Hearts only says he’ll behead people to those who he likes the most. I like the other characters and that bad guy is just biding his time, collecting his doppelgangers to overthrow the king sometime soon… anyway. I am really enjoying this show. (And I’ve already watched the beginning episodes a couple of times already.)

I also really like Rugal but that one I have to watch episodes far between and in daytime. It is too rugged for me at times. I am having problems wanting to watch the episode where he loses his eyes again. The idea of being blinded by bad guys is horrific to me! I’ll get around to watching it when I am in the mood for watching murder. eeeeh! I first saw Choi Jin Hyuk in Kangchi (Gu Family Book) I really liked his role as the Gumiho and Panda and Hedgehog (too bad he was the other male lead who lost the girl.). He’s played a variety of characters but seems to be going the way of tough cop-type guy lately… Tunnel and Rugal

I like Abyss also but that was 2019.

Oh! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED 고양이! (Meow Secret Boy) Kim Myung Soo will always be 고양이 in my mind. I was having fun watching it before the subtitles were available to see how much Korean I’ve managed to pick up. Yea, I don’t understand nuances yet but I did get the broad storylines. :slightly_smiling_face: (Give me another year… I’ve only been learning Korean since February.)

Oh!, This year… I watched " I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice" I liked that one.

I’ve watched others but not sure which ones are 2020…This text will be blurred[/spoiler]

I saw/seeing the ones you added here except (Meow Secret Boy) Rugal, so far is my favorite bc the story plot is so different, and the drama has special optical effects that are wonderful to see (all this ‘‘fake abilities’’ feel so real). The whole cast have mastered to play their roles so well and I appreciate that so far no ridiculous drunken scene by the female part or a ‘‘romantic competition’’ between the main guy and second lead.

I hope they don’t mess it up at the ending like they tend to do with some dramas I’ve seen before. Definitely I hope no tragic endings either bc it will ruin the whole thing.

The King: Eternal Monarch for me is on hold, and I might not watch it again at all. I think this is the worst acting from Lee Min Ho,he seems to ‘‘stiff’’ ‘‘boring’’ with that role, and that girl I just don’t like her acting so far, and she annoys me so much bc that ‘‘character image’’ is not for her. If I don’t feel the chemistry between 2 main leads, I don’t bother watching the drama at all.

Thanks for the suggested dramas but next time try not to describe the scenes too much bc they are considered ‘‘spoilers,’’ and some ppl make such a big deal to ‘‘read a spoiler’’ (experienced that before). I never mind the spoilers but some ppl make a big fuss about it, and its a miracle they haven’t gone off about the spoilers you added about the drama blah, blah, blah… lol I was crucified once bc they said I ‘‘spoiled the drama for them’’

Yes, Rugal is losing the momentum for me lately bc they added scenes that are similar to each other, and I’m tired already of this drama not getting somewhere; as payback time for the injustice that was done to ‘‘main guy.’’ I hate this going in circle thing so common in K drama’s. it seems they’ll wait until the last 2 chapters to see payback time.

I finished watching it, and I really enjoyed it. It’s rather an easy watch. However, the story needs more explanation as to how things work, but other than that, I think it’s a good show. L is forever a cat in my mind :joy:

I have been wanting to watch that born again and I have just started watching that Amensaiism. ,what a word!

Actually, it was formed as a result of the banning of Korean shows in China, which was a massive loss of revenue to the three networks. No money…no dramas. When I think of how much it costs to go to a theatre today, or the monthly fee for cable shows and networks, it’s a small price to pay for hundreds of dramas on Viki.

Haha, I had to look up the word. In Dutch it’s almost the same, just with an e behind it: Amensalisme, but I had never heard of it.
