Emm… I don’t mean to rain on your parade, but the platform had incorrectly titled this vid. It’s not the “preview of ep 1” but should be this (the same YT vid as shown in the REAL deal posted above for “Wrap Up Production Special”):
No one knows when this drama series will premiere, nor when any teaser for ep 1 will be available. We’re all eagerly waiting though Hopefully soon.
In addition to @aznative’s reply:
Joy of Life S2 is still in the filming stage. Filming started about a month ago. The core cast has been named and they are mostly the same cast from S1, except for 5 known changes. Still a YAY since the main core is back! Some platforms slated it for premiere in 2024, though MDL stated it for 2023. S2 may be ready later this year but seems more probable to be sometime in 2024, considering they’ve begun filming S2 only recently. Also, there should be a S3 after it, unless S2 will be condensed with it. Hopefully not a condensed attempt. The entire novel series should be depicted and filmed.
The confirmed cast for S2:

The female cast (beauties abound!) :
Good news for fans, cast and crew of JoL2!
It has already reached over 3 million subscribers (on local provider’s platform) awaiting its premiere! Whoa! That’s a feat!
JoL Tidbits:
Summary
From a recent SINA interview with the PD: He said he’s a huge fan of the novel series and the author (hehe me too).
From a recent SINA interview with ML ZRY: He was asked what he’s most excited about in S2 and he said, among others, “the grand wedding” (lol that makes me - perhaps all JoL fans too - all the more excited).
Those who’ve watched S1, do you remember when FX barged into LWE’s house with the intention to denounce the engagement but was captivated by her beauty and ate his words? lol I love this CP ).
Note-worthy cast from S1 not returning for S2 (there are 5 to date but these 2 are noteworthy to me):
- Xiao Zhan’s Yan Bingyun role (supporting character) was replaced by Wu Xingjian. Xiao Zhan was reportedly known a long time ago that he’d not be returning due to his growing popularity since S1 was filmed and aired years ago. Another reason given was due to scheduling conflicts with other drama commitments. What a bummer! (Without any prejudice to the replacement. I just am a fan of XZ hehe)

Han Jiunuo’s Ye Ling’er role (supporting character) was replaced by Jin Chen. No clear reason was provided. Many fans of HJN are mad about the change and ranting about it online.
