Hello fellow volunteers/contributors/viewers

Have you noticed the diminishing number of good, epic Chinese drama series on Viki?
Have you wondered if the sensitive topic (of politics) has engulfed the world of entertainment, i.e. dramas?
Or was it just a case of economics whereby the “winner” takes all (the good, epic titles)?

In any case, this thread is created not for us to discuss that “sensitive topic” (please don’t) but to collectively voice our wishes for upcoming Chinese dramas that do not have any channels created on Viki yet, or ongoing/completed Chinese dramas that have no presence on Viki yet. We will then singularly, in a collective manner, submit a license request for each title we would like Viki to obtain licensing or streaming rights for.

PLEASE NOTE:

Chinese dramas of any and all genres.
Chinese dramas include those from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and so on.
Upcoming dramas refer to those that have been reported in the media, those that have or have not obtained broadcasting rights, and those that are in the process of casting or filming or have wrapped up casting or filming.
Ongoing dramas refer to those that have premiered and are on-air but are not available on Viki yet.
Completed dramas refer to those that have completed broadcasts or streamings but are not available on Viki yet.
Chinese dramas that may be or are exclusive elsewhere, it would be fine to list here as well since content or streaming rights are/may not be permanent. However, we need to know that some content or streaming rights are not for sale by the content provider. Additionally, some factors like cost, popularity, seasonality, availability, and localization or regionalization would make some titles unavailable for purchase from the content provider.
Please do not request for any dramas that are censored or banned in whichever country of origin, or for whatever reasons.

oh my look at all those dramas we can’t get!! why can’t we??

is it cause of price of licenses? the conflicts between countries now? I just seen a bunch of dramas right here I would love to see, so what is the problem in not having them here instead of those other places they are in??

sure would like to find out too, do we just put them in the link of what c dramas do you want to watch or what? and even though theres a “conflict” in that part of the world, I just hope it wont cause us/ the world / notr able to watch these dramas!!
