Hello All! I’m pretty new here, so I apologize if this is not the right place to post this. Anyway, the series Black Knight has only subtitles in English so I was wondering if there’s any reason why there’s no other language. I’d love to do the subtitles into Portuguese for this series, so here’s the hope of someone willing to undertake this and call me to work on it.

From what I understand, some shows come with only English subtitles and Viki is nog allowed to make other subtitles for it.
If I’m not mistaken, this series had subtitles in many, many languages. It might be a glitch. I think you would benefit from sending a request to Viki’s Help Center, if nothing else but to complain that you would like the subs to your language back.
The CM and the whole segmenting and subbing team have been completely removed! Imagine the hundreds and maybe thousands of hours wasted to segment and translate this show to 20 languages - now all deleted, invisible.

It all depends on the license, if Viki got a new license for English only, Viki had to do that. As for the other languages, they are certainly not lost, in case the license changes, Viki will surely add them as well as the team that did it.

I checked, and “Black Knight” is being provided to Viki by Kocowa. The liscense agreement for Kocowa titles is English subs only, which are provided by Kocowa, and Viki volunteers are not allowed to work on Kocowa titles. So there is no editing or adding subtitles in other languages for the Kocowa titles.
