Bug in the "Continue Watching Section"

I think I have discovered that if I watch a lot of episodes in a row, without stopping, the progress does not show up on my ‘continue watching’, but if I just watch a couple, it seems to register.

Same here.

Yes? In the back of the classrooom? Does someone have a comment to make regarding the Co-chair of the Southern Seoul Sisterhood?

I am the most recent transfer to Minnie-Wookie-Cheeky-Cutie High School, and the most annoying maknae to come out of the back streets of 아주 작은 마을 (Aju Jag-eun Ma-eul–Very Small Town, so small it is not even listed in the Google Tours Guide to Neglected Places).

I am just waiting to blow my seniors in to the Assistant Principal for any reason whatsoever.

Then, after 16 episodes of girl gangs, deliberate bad hair cuts given by the hair salon owner’s daughter, mud fights, boyfriend stealing and dumping, snitching prom dresses from the dry cleaners, carrying each other to the hospital piggyback for attacks of appendicitis, broken arms, and shellfish allergies, and the heartwarming discovery that our great-grandmothers are cousins . . . we open a Taekwondo school together.

But right now, I’m a little suck-up peeking in the classroom door . . . so watch it!

Back to the original topic.

I still have issues with Continue Watching section on my computer and have never had problems on the mobile application. We have also discussed here and elsewhere how a few bugs on Viki.com might be connected to the fact that cookies, which allow the website to remember where you left off watching a series, are not being updated.

However, recently I’ve noticed that if I watch something on desktop, I can continue watching it on my mobile application. Which means, cookies on desktop ARE being updated, but they (or their latest version) are NOT BEING USED on desktop. At the same time they are completely functional and in use on a mobile application.

Continue watching should automatically delete the show, once the final episode is watched I see no use for keeping a list of shows stacked up in “Continue Watching” It should not have to be deleted manually, unless it’s a currently being watched show.

I agree. Until recently, I had no idea that it looks like nearly every drama I’ve ever watched is in the ‘continue watching’ section.

This issue now seems to be resolved for me.

What about the rest of you?

I have no more problems either.

It’s fine for me, too. Has been fine for a couple of days. Hooray! :crossed_fingers::pray:

Good point. :+1: Here’s a fine idea for our Viki Community Team/Viki engineers to consider. :point_left::wink:

For anyone who needs it, here’s a Support Specialist’s answer on Viki’s Help Center yesterday:

So I have been watching Mr. Queen after having it on hold. It is not staying up with the episodes I have watched nor is it in my continue watching section after I watched like 3 Eps yesterday. I have to pull it up and figure out where I’m at :woman_shrugging:

But others are working so I don’t know

For me the problem seems to be solved.

My ‘continue watching’ section has completely disappeared, even after logging out and logging back in. Anyone else?

Mine isn’t working for a while… since when there was the issue back then… I did logout/in since then several times and nada… I can try again tomorrow if no result I’ll write in the Help Center.

It does still list it as a known issue at the top of the Help page. I had problems with it too, but then it got better. Now it is just gone. That’s a new one for me.

@my_happy_place

Mine disappeared too, but I’m not going to worry anymore since I keep a log of my episodes where I left and so on…

Make sure to follow the instructions @vivi_1485 posted and if the problem persist follow 1,2,3,4 instruction in care of Michelle.

I’m not overly concerned about it right now either because I’m basically in between dramas anyway. I have one short web drama I was following, but it’s easy to find where I am on that one. I just thought it was weird. I’d never had that happen, and I wanted to see if others had it happen too.

My Continue Watching list disappeared for some time when I logged in this morning, but it’s back again
