A thousand years ago, there were a collection of stars in the universe that was breathtaking in grandeur. Fire God Zhong Tian (Chen Bolin), Wind God Qian Mei (Jing Tian) and the other six gods are the keepers of peace under the leadership of Shan Xuan. During a dangerous battle with dark forces, the deities suffer a great loss. Qian Mei goes missing after sacrificing herself to save Zhong Tian. In order to find an alternate energy source to save their home, Zhong Tian travels to the glorious age of Tang Dynasty where he meets a person who looks exactly like his long-lost love, thus igniting a complicated romance between the two.
A story revolving around the Fire God, the Wind God and the ensuing romance between them as they risk their lives for the sake of their homeland.
