@purplebananamilk not really. I once came across this as I asked myself why I only listen to Korean and Japanese music without checking out some other Asian countrys.
At first I searched up for other countrys but didn’t really found anything online and than I came across Vietnamese music. There wasn’t that much good content, but there was one really really amazing vocalist that got my atention, but even if his songs got often over 100 millions of views he seemd to be a much liked but also much hated person due to that many people said he makes plagiarism like if it was the only thing in his life he could do (besides breathing) but he is still the most popularmale vocal from Vietnam.
I link you a song of him here
That guy is called “Son Tung M-TP” and the plagiarism thing is due to his most famouse song called “Lac Troi” from the year 2016. I don’t know about the original song when the rumors are rea, but even if it is or not, it is still incredible how this song could reach over 170 million views…

After this amazing vocalist I was so dissapointed that I didn’t really found any ohter good music from Vietnam and than I searched for other countrys but didn’t really found anything online untill someone told me I should keep an eye on China or better especially on Taiwan^^
You maybe know that like 50% or more of all people from China can’t access websites like Youtube and so it was a bbit hard for me to find good Chinese music and that wasn’t tradition traditional or lame^^ and than I found out that Taiwan is having the 3rd biggest music industry in Asia (first Japan, second Korea) and so I looked up for that, but at first I only found acts who left the music industry… sadly I was so dissapointed but than a friend of mine who likes Taiwanese drama sendet me the theme song of a show she likes and than cause of this I found a similar vocal and than I randomly came to a playlist of Taiwanese music from 2015 and than I was like “yas! I found goot Chinese music!” cause the only Chinese songs I knew before are from KPopers^^
But did you know there are Taiwanese musicians out there who make songs in Japanese? SpeXial for example made a Japanese colab with Ayumi Hamasaki in 2016 and the girlgroup “Weather Girls” was from 2013 to 2015 very active with Japanese musuc but after that time they disbandet…and there are more out there who make music in Japanese who are from Taiwan…

And since this I sometimes (but not that often) listen to some Chinese music.
How I listen to music is like: 50% Korean, 40% Japanese, 5% Englisch, 3% German and 2% Chinese
