Mine randomly started working around the same time you posted this. It might be site-wide since it seems the times of it not working and working match-up for some users, me included. Is it still working for you? Mine started showing the error again.

Hahaha! I love the volunteering, but the bugs, not so much.
Also, I’m in Europe as well and the video player started working for me again too.
In my case, mine started working just on its own both times. 
I could speculate, since there were not so many complaints with: I paid, and I am Pass owner and so on, maybe it was an isolated problem with the European server(s)?
But this is really only speculation …
At least it seems everyone can watch/contribute again.

Possibly. It definitely seems that all those who experienced it are from Europe. But hopefully, it’s fixed now and it’ll all be back to normal.

Oooh, I did not. Thanks for the info. Honestly, at first glance, it seems a bit more organized than it used to be. I kind of like it.
I wasn’t able to read everyone’s comments so I don’t know if it was mentioned.
For those of us on Viki a long time, we call it the Gremlin hour or Gremlin time. Depending on where your time zone is, Viki will be working normally, then all of a sudden for an hour or so it starts acting stupid, then it goes back to normal after a bit of time. This is when the Gremlins come out. AKA… the techs in Singapore doing maintenance on Viki. If the weirdness happens roughly about the same time when you get on Viki, then most likely this is it. Of course, it can happen at any time. If it happens to you no matter what time you get on and it doesn’t resolve itself, this might be a problem on your end. But please be aware that the techs do daily maintenance.
