Welcome back, dear Irmar. I’m very happy that you survived and are with us again.
I’m also very sorry for your loss.
I can totally imagine your anger about your son moving your things from the bathroom, but I think it was just his way of coping with the situation.
Even if life could have gotten on without you, it sure would have been less fun for those left behind.
I am glad to see that all of the ordeals you have gone through have actually left you with a very positive outlook on life and plans for the future. I hope you will continue healing or at the very least find a way to live with the parts that may not fully heal.
We missed you very much and welcome you back with a huge hug!
I echo everyone’s sentiments above. I am so very sorry for your mom and for what you had to endure. I love your positive attitude in the midst of terrible ordeal. You are a strong woman, and a fighter! I know another lady who was in a similar situation as you a year ago, and she is doing very well now, and was able to attend her daughter’s wedding and witness the birth of her son’s child since her recovery.
May you recover swiftly and fully, and enjoy the life to the fullest.
I echo your sentiments of being grateful to be back. I went through ordeals of a forest fire followed by a devastating flood, which brought on another stroke.
Then I almost lost my brother who was in ICU gasping for air, and to this day, his respiratory specialist can’t believe he survived when they look at his x-rays.
Try increasing your omega 3 intake with flaxseed oil (one tbs equals 6000 mg omega 3) because it really fights inflammation, especially in the lungs. It has really helped the inflammation throughout my body. The directions say not to cook with it and keep it in the fridge, but you can add it to salads and any cooked foods like soup, stew, veggies, etc. It’s a food so now I normally take at least 2 tbs a day, but 4 tbs a day when I’m fighting any congestion or aches.
I’m also grateful to have you back!
Love and hugs,
Belle
I’m so sorry to hear about all the troubles you and your brother had. Hopefully things are looking up now. And thanks for the advice regarding Omega-3.
What ordeal you and your family had been through! I don’t consider myself very religious but the saying “God only gives what we can handle.” came to my mind when I read about both you and irmar. You both are wonderfully strong women and I am so glad that you pulled through.
Dear Irene,
I’m so sorry for your loss! It must have been so hard for you to lose your mother without being able to stay by her side.
But I’m relieved, that you’re back and I hope the best for you and your family. Please recover fully soon!
Welcome back Irmar! Your presence does make a difference here on Viki discussions. You’re an amazingly brave and strong person. May all your dreams and goals be fulfilled!!
Irene, what a pleasant surprise to read your post here after so… long!
I’m glad to read that you’re back home already, and earlier than you’ve anticipated (you mentioned early May in your other message). With heartfelt condolences to you, I’m sorry for your loss. I will not sound like a broken record playing over and over, except to tell you I concur with all well-wishes and wonderment.
You are on the road to recovery, and you are an inspiration to all! Please stay strong and achieve full recovery speedily. Let not any negativity affect you. Stay positive. Stay motivated. YOU CAN DO IT!
I am beyond happy to hear from you.
It’s really sad to read all the things you been through. But I am really happy to know that you are doing okay now. You’re such a warrior, I mean it.
No one should be taken for granted, and though people can be easily replaceable at work, it can’t be that way in life. There’s only one like you in this community, Irmar.
I am really really really happy to see you back once again. I wish your mother finds peace in her afterlife, and you can continue being strong, healthy and happy.
Yes, I’m doing better, thank you. I am back to English editing, and I passed my Ninja Segmenting Academy final exam after being away five months. I can’t take on as much as before, and I promised my hubby that I would take weekends off as much as possible.
