I am a new Segmenter . @pbj_sandwich_hehe, This is my profile. I am available on Saturdays and Wednesdays after 5pm. I want to contribute because when i was 9 years old I always heard from seniors that juniors cannot segment.
Pls help me prove my seniors wrong. Thank you.
I see that you have signed up for Viki’s segmenting program (NSSA). That’s excellent. Unfortunately, it is not possible to start segmenting until you have completed this course. Once you have worked your way through the Segging Sandbox and then the five more advanced levels, you will be able to join a team and start segmenting on shows.

Hey! I’m new here and looking for my first project as a segmenter. I have applied for NSSA but present in the waitlist. I can invest 1hour per day. I would like to work for any project and give my best. Please accept me I’ll work hard without any issue. Looking forward to work efficiently on a project.

If you don’t complete the course you cannot work as a segmenter.

Hello @dn27, you graduated a long time ago and haven’t been active as a segmenter. A lot has changed in recent years, and the work of a segmenter is no longer the same as you learned it.
The dramas now come with presubs in up to 7 different languages.
The NSSA offers a refresher course for segmenters like you, who can learn the new segmentation process before joining projects.
It’s best to contact the NSSA and they will discuss everything else with you.

I have done the NSSA training and am new to contributing!
I am available for about 2 hours every day or every other day.
Wanting to contribute comes from being so grateful for all the amazing dramas I’ve been able to watch over the past 5 years. I wouldn’t have been able to without amazing contributors so in a way, I want to give back to the Viki Community!

From what I can tell, you do not seem to have yet graduated from the NSSA Segmenting Academy. This is a prerequisite for being a segmenter on Viki. The NSSA training begins with three preliminary levels (The Sandbox) and then moves onto five advanced levels. At the end of the five levels, there is a video assignment that is marked by senior segmenters. If you are keen to be a segmenter, I encourage you to sign-up to the NSSA program. There is always a need for new segmenters, and you would be most welcome.

I have just completed the NSSA segmenting academy. I was looking for shows to work on.
I would mainly like to work on korean dramas but I am fine with mandarin as well.

I have no experience yet. I have practiced in the Sandbox and watched all of the video training on segmenting. I love watching Viki and really want to help bring more content to other viewers. I feel that I am a team player and am more than willing to accept guidance and correction where needed. So if you are willing to take a chance on me I will give you my very best!
I have been selected for segmenting and willing to join any project and availability of 4 days a week and any hours necessary to complete the tasks given to me. Also, now that I have found where the inbox is (lol) I can reply in a timely manner.

Good afternoon Mr/Ms, I would love to become a segmenter for Chinese dramas (modern romance genre). Here are my information:

- Reasons for wanting to contribute: I love Chinese culture and Chinese dramas very much. I am literally passionate about working with Chinese dramas everyday and would like to help people all over the world know more about beautiful China, wonderful Chinese people and so forth. Moreover, becoming a volunteer at Viki can also help me learn Chinese much better (I am in HSK3 HSKK class now.). I am strongly convinced that passion and love can help me succeed.
