I’m curious on what others think
Do you class mental illness as a disability and why
I would say yes. If it stops/hinders you from doing daily activities then yeah. I mean, another way of referring to ‘mental illness’ would be ‘mental disability’ so there’s that.
But then agin dosent depends how severe it is
Physical disability also has degrees/percentages. Fe, gluten intolerance is classified as 5% disability in Norway.
Technically. Just had a google and looking from the UK law’s view, the mental illness needs to be ‘substantial’/long-term to count as a disability.
Those are 2 different things.
If a person is being treated under a treatment that does not prevent him from living normally, then he is not. But if the treatment is soporific and does not allow her to be like everyone else, then yes. Some depressions are so strong that they have to be treated in this way.
