I’m not too fussed over Chinese proficiency as long as it is not non-existent (however it is preferred that you know the basics of Chinese and how to form sentences as well as knowing how to write - knowing how to type the different Chinese characters via pinyin on a keyboard is fine too). We all have lots to learn from one another!
