NSSA - Subbing Division - Open for New Academies

Hello, Viki contributors,

We are very excited to announce that for the past 2 months, we have worked very hard to resume the activity of the Subbing division of NSSA. So here we are now with our first announcement about being again available to open new Subbing academies to help and form the newbies on the subbing activity in their native language.

We currently have active Subbing academies for Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. We also have one for French but we will tell you more about it at the end of this announcement. You can find the sign-up forms for the active academies, here: https://nssacademy.weebly.com/

To make sure that the entire community of a new Language Subbing Academy will be aware of the interest of someone who wants to open an academy for their community, and also to make sure that all those eligible for the Language Subbing Academy Moderator position have a chance to show their interest for this position, we crafted a clear procedure also containing the criteria for the mentioned position.

To ensure that the procedure will answer all of your questions, we added at the end of it a link to a short form where you can submit your questions and we will make sure to add our answers to the FAQ section of this document.

And now, let’s present the new languages that want to join NSSA, and also the resuming of one already established.

  • German
  • Spanish
  • Hungarian

  • French - we decided to resume it on the new procedure since the previous team is not active anymore and we aim to have each academy open all the time.

Starting from the posting time of this announcement, we will wait 1 week for all the applications for the Language Subbing Academy Moderator position in any of the languages mentioned above. By sending your application according to the procedure, you agree to include your username among the other eligible applicants in the Feedback Form that will be sent to your community after we close the application phase.

This announcement is locked for replies, so please don’t hesitate to use the short form from the FAQ section of the document to send your questions and concerns.

Thank you for your time!

Update: A new language just showed their interest in opening a Subbing Academy, namely Hungarian. I edited the topic by adding the language and we will give the same deadline for receiving any other application for the Language Subbing Academy Moderator position. Thanks!

Update 2: The application period for the above languages is now closed! We will gradually send out the Feedback Form for each community in the next two weeks at maximum.
