BIO: Rain is the stage name of Jung Ji Hoon, a popular South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actor who is well known in Hollywood as well as throughout Asia. Rain made his music debut in 1998 at the age of 16 with the boy band Fanclub. He made his music solo debut in 2002 and his acting debut in 2003 in the Korean drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School.” He rose to fame when he starred in the 2004 hit drama “Full House,” which brought him the Best Actor Award at the 2004 KBS Drama Awards. Rain’s fame expanded to the United States in 2006 with several sold-out shows in Madison Square Garden and Las Vegas. He was included in People magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue in 2007. He appeared in the Hollywood films “Speed Racer” in 2008 and in 2009’s “Ninja Assassin,” for which he received the Biggest Badass Award at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. He also starred in the 2014 gangster film “The Prince” with Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Jason Patric, and the 2014 Korean drama series “She’s So Lovable” with f(x)’s Krystal.
FUN FACT: Rain performed at Madison Square Garden in February 2006, the tickets of which sold out within two days.
