Recently I bought a bottle of Korean corn syrup, along with several other Korean seasonings that I knew I would use, but this was my first time buying the corn syrup. I had seen a lot of Koreans using this and many Korean grandmothers at the market recommended it to me as a substitute for a sweetener like sugar. However, it didn’t quite occur to me at the time that I didn’t know any recipes with the stuff. Anyone with recipes help me out?

Recipes found on Maangchi that use corn syrup
You can make the Fried chicken recipe with corn syrup or chapssal donuts.
I usually put a little bit in when I’m caramelizing sugar, so it doesn’t form crystals, for example in marshmallows
You can also use it to make sauces shiny

Yes. I don’t think it’s very popular around where I live, so I’ve actually never even tried pecan pie. Recipes would be very appreciated.
