Beverley. Most kind, wonderful person, friend, mentor, so passionate about Viki, Viki community, Viki volunteers, and NSSA segmenting academy. The Viki volunteer segmenters salute your work. You generously shared the skills and knowledge which inspired Viki volunteers in our segmenting journey. We can think of those moments when BJW patiently took the time to guide us, addressed our concerns, encouraged and trusted the potentials of NSSA segmenting students to become Viki volunteers.

To our NSSA leader, sensei, péngyou (friend), from the many Viki volunteers you’ve empowered, we unite to say: We miss you, Beverley. RIP BJW.

You were my friend, my mentor, and one of the kindest people I ever had the chance to know on Viki. You were the one who made me fall in love with segmenting and who always believed in me. You listened with such compassion and had a way of finding light, even in difficult moments.

I will miss you so much. I will miss the way you always showed up to support others and the way you cared about everyone around you so sincerely and generously. The world already feels sadder, and this community will never be the same without you in it.

Oh no! I’m deeply sorry and so shocked and saddened to hear that Beverly left us! My sincere condolences to her family!
She was the CS for my first channel ever more than 10 years ago and always so supportive. She helped me when I was in desperate need of a CS, cared so much about others and was such a kind and wonderful person. I will truly miss her!

Today, all of us are mourning the loss of someone truly rare. Beverley was not only a “sensei”, she was a mentor with a huge heart, a friend, a steady presence. She shared her skills with constant patience and kindness, truly believing in the potential of NSSA Segmenting Academy students and Viki volunteers.

Thank you, Beverley, for your time, your guidance, your trust, and for everything you built within this community. Your teaching lives on through our work, our rigor, and our team spirit.
