Most dramas are shifting away from the traditional TV viewing format or aspect ratio of 4:3 and even 16:9. Sure, some viewers may still have cube-like TVs – and that’s alright – but both technology and dramas are on an ascending path.
Newly released dramas are now done in an ultra-wide aspect ratio, such as 18:9 that resembles cinema movies.
Fortunately, Viki is finally adding support for ultra-wide screens. Unfortunately, it comes with bugs, like the missing interface. Still, this can be fixed. It’s good news, partially, but good news nonetheless. Yay !!
