Of course it is. You’ve said no, and the action continued, it doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or a guy, you said no. I also agree with @kdrama2020ali, talk to your counselor, they may be able to make her understand that it is just as wrong for a woman to continue these actions as it is for a guy.

As girls we seem to be programed not to offend others even if what they are doing is blatantly wrong. Let me tell you, it’s ok to offend people when they are making you uncomfortable. If you call someone out on some behaviour and they tell you you’re making things uncomfortable or ruining the atmosphere, put it back on them, they’re ruining the mood/atmosphere/whatever by continuing to do what they’ve been asked to stop, you wouldn’t have had to say anything if they had stopped what they were doing the first time you asked.

Do you eat something or drink something that helps you sleep?

Sad but true. My hubby, who sleeps with a sleeping mask on specifically because I watch my dramas on my tablet in bed at night, will sometimes wake up in the wee hours of the morning and catch me still watching. A common conversation: “You’re seriously still awake?” “Yes, something important is happening right now!”

Do you drink coffee or something caffeinated before bedtime? That could give you trouble when you’re trying to fall asleep. I usually just wear myself out by exercising or studying… it makes me fall asleep pretty easily. Or I use slow ballad music.

I agree with you that BTS is now in a class by themselves. It’s gone beyond pop music even since they are now actual diplomats. I agree with you that if they want to cement their status on the global stage they will need to make changes. I do not think collaborating with Western artists is a bad thing either. Makes sense if they want to keep growing and it is a win-win for everyone. Unlike other people, I do not think BTS releasing an all English language album is a bad thing or them “selling out”. K Pop stars have been recording and releasing Japanese language albums for years in order to penetrate that lucrative market." No one ever accuses the K Pop stars of “selling out” or “losing their essence” or
pandering to Japan. Releasing an English language album is just the same thing: trying to better reach a lucrative market and get their message across. Much is made about how “music crosses barriers”. Yes, music does, but lyrics do not. From what I have observed, BTS is a group that places a lot of emphasis on their lyrics. Many say their lyrics are what sets them apart and makes them unique. A signature element. of the group. Right now it takes a lot of work to understand the lyrics to their songs if you do not speak Korean. Many more people globally understand English language so releasing English language songs would help them tremendously. Frankly I do not think they will win a Grammy award until they have a song that is both fully written and sung by BTS in English. Recording Academy members are not superfans. They want to just be able to play the song and understand it easily when they are deciding who to vote for. They are not going to hunt around for fan translations. It’s not an accident that the first Grammy nomination was for their first song that was completely sung in English. I was not surprised it did not win though. It lacked complexity. I think BTS has a good chance to keep getting nominations but I don’t think they will actually win until they can give us a song in English that has the deeper “BTS lyrics” as well as clear English vocals. But I could be wrong. Doing both of those things will require a lot of work from the group. I’m not sure if it is something they are willing to do or if they are satisfied with how things are now and don’t want to do any extra efforts. .

From what I have read, it’s important to establish a bedtime routine and try to go to bed a t the same time each night. Is your room dark and cool? People tend to fall asleep faster in a dark and cool room.

This is actually a pretty hard question. What makes k-pop k-pop? Why is there more noise made over full English songs than Japanese ones?

I was thinking about it. These aren’t rhetorical questions, I genuinely do not have answers to them:
Is it because, if they sing in English, there’s really nothing that will set them apart? If I wanted to listen to English, I might as well listen to someone else who pronounces everything much better and is able to write artistic English lyrics because it’s their first language. It’s hard to watch them struggle for words, sometimes. For the sake of going forward, these little things can be overlooked. Writing meaningful lyrics is hard. Imagine writing complex, Grammy-worthy lyrics in a language you don’t have complete mastery over.

I haven’t extensively listened to BTS’ discography, so I don’t know much. Do they still follow the “k-pop song” format? It’s there in most k-pop title tracks. The chorus, then the bridge to show off vocals/harmony, then the dance break, then one last explosive chorus.
Again, we can’t really define k-pop. It comes in all forms. Maybe we have emotional ties to it, and that’s why lots of people can’t accept BTS going global. Maybe we just like Korean. Maybe people see them so much with Hollywood celebs, in western settings, that they don’t feel “Korean” anymore. Maybe it’s just not fun because they aren’t competing with other k-groups. I have no idea.
As far as I can see, most people will gladly suck up anything that their idols make(not just BTS, any group).

Is it because of the feeling? Take SHAUN’s Way Back Home for example. The one ft. Conor Maynard makes it sound like a romantic party song. I usually like listening to original versions, so I searched up the Korean version. Same melody, different lyrics and language. WHAT a difference. SHAUN originally wrote it as a memorial for his girlfriend who died in a car accident. He’s begging her to just leave everything and come back home at the end of the day. After reading the lyrics, it suddenly sounds so sad and beautiful. Maybe these artists sing more soulfully if they fully understand what they’re saying. I don’t really know.

I really hate to say it, but EXO’s recent DFTF album was underwhelming, IMO. I liked it, but I didn’t LOVE it. I felt like it wasn’t EXO. It’s so hard to explain what I feel “EXO music” is. The concept was very EXO, but the music wasn’t. Whereas, with NCT, even if I hate the recent song they released, it feels distinctively NCT. The same goes for D.O’s album. Everything about the album was distinctly Do Kyungsoo.
