I guess I have no other choice but to submit my reviews like that. welp, I’m doomed. Well at least there is a way I can write them. Thanks.
Hey everyone! The issue with the Reviews feature has been fixed! You should now be able to submit reviews again.
Thank you for being patient with us while our team worked hard at a resolution!
Yea! Now I have to remember what I had wanted to write! (Won’t be too hard.)
edited: AND IT WORKS now! I was able to write longer reviews. Thank you for fixing it!
Thank you so much, Jeslyn! I will let other reviewers know.
If I write an new review or edit (a old one) it on the mainpage of a drama I get no response even after refreshing the site. Has someone already noticed that, too?
Same problem here
@mariliam I’d like to know why I can’t write a review that’s more than 40 characters (it even says minimum 40 ch.) Is there something wrong with the count?
For example this sentence won’t get accepted at submit:
A superbly done movie for a rainy day, don’t underrate it!
I have the exact same problem since few weeks
Hi there @simi11,
Thank you for pointing this out! Just to verify, did you assigned a rating first to the show before trying to submit? Are you writing the review on web, android or iOS?
We seem to have a sporadic issue on web an android at the moment but we are still unable to replicate the issue. Do you mind sharing a screenshot of your attempt?
Thanks,
Mariliam
@mariliam Hi Mariliam, thanks for responding.
- I wrote on viki.com on Opera browser, not in a app… I rarely use the app on my phone.
- Review I wrote was on a older movie “shadows in the palace”
- I was able to post “A superbly done movie for a rainy day, don’t underrate it!” which are 59 characters… with more characters it wouldn’t let me submit. (I tried to edit to see the diff.)
If you noticed rose_shn commented below me that she has the same problem, I don’t know
where she wrote reviews but will tag her so she can tell. @rose_shn
Warm regards, Simi
I always write my reviews through Chrome and the drama was The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty where I can’t write any text at all and I have tried it many times.
He can take only the stars without a text but the strange thing is that it’s just this drama. I could write a review in others dramas but not in sleuth for whatever reason…
Hi there @simi11,
Thanks so much! After asking for your details our engineer was able to replicate the issue. It seems to be happening intermittently and is now scheduled for a fix!
I Will let you guys know once it’s resolved. Thanks so much for the information as well @rose_shn!
Mariliam
Just for the record, I have the same issue for I’ll Go To You When the Weather is Fine. Not only me, many viewers wrote in the comments sections that they were unable to write a review.
You write it, it’s within the 5000-character limit, you click on “Submit” and… nothing.
I’m on Opera.
Hey @simi11,
Thank you for your feedback! Improvements to this are currently in development and we should be seeing some improvements for Ratings and Reviews soon. Your idea is good and I will share it with the team to see how to best implement this, if possible, but just know that it might not happen with the first iteration.
@irmar the team is working on this fix to make sure everyone can post reviews again, but it might take a few days.
Thanks again,
Mariliam
Now I have the sam problem with Good Casting, too. I can only send the review with stars without a text, like the problem with The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty. So I think it’s not only some dramas but all channels are affected by this.
