im barely home , and most of the times im too lazy to get the laptop (lol) so i really want to start subbing from the phone but in the app i cant (because its iphone) and in safari i can only sub if i had the link [or maybe i dont know how]
can someone please tell me how i can sub from my phone (if it’s possible) ?

I’m pretty sure the app is designed for watching videos and not contributing. And as far as I can see, there’s no link to the sub editor on the mobile site. Like you said, you’d need the link to get in. (Seems like a major pain to me to sub on the phone though…)
But if you insist on it, you can manually type in the link for the sub editor.
Click on the video you want to sub, and the URL will be something like: (The ####### will actually be a number.)
http://www.viki.com/videos/#######v-video-title
To get into the sub editor, just change it to:
http://subber.viki.com/translations/#######

since this responsive-layout, i miss it (and few other things) too… even though the layout is cool (for me) but i hope viki will consider to use 2 version of layout like other site… desktop and mobile version…

I wouldn’t want to sub on my tablet or phone but one thing that I would love to have on the app is the ability to check messages. That would be helpful for me.
i know right! we can do nothing but watch on the iOS version 
am bulk translate user, so it’s not that painful 
i think you could use the trik that mentioned up there to check your messages… however, i check it through my email…
it’s completely designed for viewers, unfortunatly… am their contributor even am not helpful enough 
how about segmenting… is there anyway we can segment from a phone?
