This recipe smells the same as the kimchi the asian store sells, so I think thetase is right

And I replaced the sugar by one apple in thin slices, since white sugar is not that healthy
And unless you want to die burned by the inside, don’t put too much of red pepper powder. She says 3 cups but one is enough for me and still, it tickles
