20 years ago, singer Wang Xuan (LI YING) spent all her savings trying to treat the illness of her daughter, Jiang Meili, to no avail. In the end, she had to give her daughter up for adoption, while hiding the truth from the world. Meili (VICTORIA SONG) is adopted by Jiang Weiguo and his wife. Unable to find her daughter, Wang Xuan decides to put all her love into her step daughter, Xu Roulin (XIANZI). 20 years later, Ruolin enters a singing competition to win back her ex-boyfriend, Producer Guan Yi (PETER HO). Meili goes to the same competition to support her sister and ends up being a competitor. Meili becomes an overnight sensation by winning the competition, and Guan Yi decides to produce her. At the same time, they develop feelings for each other.
