I am curious about your opinion, because lately I have noticed that many projects series or movies take over as CM ‘‘Vikisubteam’’. And not only that, because they are also taking over old series without saying anything to the previous CM they are taking off from that position, it is a bit strange. And perhaps the strangest thing is that you can still apply for these dramas, so I don’t know if this is a new trend or maybe just the end of the era of CM contributors. Maybe we are not needed anymore, idk? Or has something changed? I think it would be nice to get some info from the staff to clear up our doubts. Perhaps it’s restriction, but why take over old dramas? I’d like to know your opinion on this.

So they removed the Application for CM in Project Finder, what am I to understand…
I guess the same is with Youthful Glory that Vikisubteam or Viki themselves is initially CM and folks have to apply to that user, whoever that is for CM position… this translates then a new style to apply as in opposite through the regular or past style application… is there a communication on discord about this change??
No, the channel was open for CM applications. Vikisubteam was chosen as CM, and now one of us volunteers has been appointed as CM. That’s all.

What does Discord have to do with this? NOTHING!!!
If you want to know what’s happening on Discord, then go there. Viki is less active there than here, in fact, Viki is NOT active there at all. Volunteers exchange information there (just like here, or on F a c e b o o k, or Instagram… or wherever volunteers exchange information). That’s all that happens there. This is almost like paranoia.

Nothing has changed. It’s the same as always. The channel is “opened” by Viki, and you can apply to be a CM. Viki selects the Vikisubteam as CMs. Either it stays that way and there won’t be a team, or it will be changed later and a CM will be selected from among us volunteers who have applied to be CMs as usual.

Yes, I agree. It is very strange. I can only speculate that the removal of CM from old channels has something to do with the subtitle editor changes. I guess Viki want full control over the dramas once the liscense expires? I’m not really sure why they are taking away the CM from older dramas.
I am not sure what is going on regarding the new dramas. Prisoner of Beauty was Vikisubteam, but now has a different CM. However, there still is no CM for Moon Lovers. So whatever this new process is, it is not consistent.

So often the tone makes the music. This is a discussion where everyone can express their opinion.
And no matter where you express your opinion, it has to be accepted by others. After all, we have freedom of expression. And it really is all very confusing at the moment. I’ve experienced it myself twice now.

Couldn’t agree more! Why not show a little kindness when answering questions? Nobody really knows anything right now, so it’s perfectly okay to ask questions or feel confused.
