I would love to get Viki Pass to continue watching Goodbye Mr Black. My only problem is that streaming on Viki for me is very unreliable. Some days I’ll get very smooth streams and others I’ll get very choppy streams. I tried talking with Viki tech support about it but they didn’t seem to have a fix available other than saying to try clearing cache, trying another browser etc.
Every other place I stream content through my browser works fine with no glitches so obviously it’s a problem with the server or third party servers that Viki uses. I have a premium pass with Dramafever and have never had one choppy stream. I’m a casual user that will watch a show over a month and then maybe not be back for a few weeks but it’s nice to know that when I do come back the service quality doesn’t change.
Has anyone else experienced erratic stream quality with Viki?
I just noticed Joe Chen was in a new drama (Stay with Me) and I wanted to watch one of her older dramas (Queen of SOP). This is on the fan channel and I have Vicki Pass but was not able to watch - error message ‘The youtube flash API was officially deprecated on January 27th 2015’. I was reading the HTML5 player is now being used and Adobe Flash was not because of Java script problems. Is there a work around for this problem? I also use Drama Fever and it is buffering forever especially when I try to jump ahead in the video.
Have you tried help center? You write to them and they will answer back to you. They also have info how to resolve some technical issues and other stuff. Hope this helps you.
You have to make a request and they will give you a number the case stays open until someone contacts you: Go to viki support and click on ‘’ my activities’’ …and you will see the answer there and they also e-mail you. Good Luck!
angelight313_168 Thanks for the advice. I tried contacting Help Center and they were really nice and did try to fix the problem but unfortunately nothing worked. I always thought the issue was a combination server/how the video is delivered. Oh well. I love the site so I’m in for the long haul and hope they can correct these issues soon
