Viki Pass - Why Do I No Longer Have it?

So I paid for the Viki Pass on December 11, 2013 and it’s suppose to last until January 11, 2014. However, I decided to remove my subscription but for some weird reason, today while I was in the middle of watching my drama - I started to get ads for no reason!

Can somebody explain this to me?

It happens from time to time, just to deco / reco to update the status.
This should make you notice that you are connected when in fact the account is no longer.
