I think we’ve all realized by now all NEW dramas go through the Vikisubteam who can keep them for themselves forever or entrust them to a CM after an indefinite time. We’re not talking about days, we’re talking about months. Virtually these projects reach contributors in once it was called “library mode”.
Since so much time passes from the SUPPOSED assignment to the CM, it would be a good thing for a message to arrive at the discarded CMs informing them about the choice of the staff.
Efficiency would be a great help for us all, contributors and staff

I’ve also noticed that notifications for CM appointments are no longer being sent to the Inbox. It’s likely a technical issue, but, just as likely, especially given the unfair practices the CM staff has been engaging in for some time now, it could also be that they no longer want to send notifications, since, in practice, the same people are being appointed over and over again. It certainly wouldn’t be pleasant for the community to see all the appointment notifications for a month or even half a year, or soon a year, featuring the same usernames, while the rest of the community is still waiting for some response from them regarding the CMs.
They probably think that certain unfair actions will go unnoticed this way, but that’s not the case with so many vigilant contributors, even if they are not active in public discussions.

I hope in the “tecnical issues”. We cannot keep all the dramas we asked for in the “follow section” and twice a day have a look if something happened, we need notifications.
We all know perfectly “There’s something rotten in Denmark” and I think the position of The Chosen Ones isn’t easy either, but quite embarassing also for them. I wonder if they asked the mysteriuos Watch K-Dramas, Korean Shows & Chinese Dramas | Rakuten Viki why this sort of fancy. I would do it, also for my sake. The negative emotions this situation is triggering can be harmful for everyone.

I totally agree that the entire fault in this matter is on Viki’s side.
Personally, I’ve asked them, and I’ll continue to ask from time to time, even though they don’t respond, or maybe they just don’t respond to just anyone.
But at the very least, it should be known that they are following the discussions here, a fact confirmed when they decided to delete their information from the “About Me” section after I asked a series of questions in another thread related to CM, in which I pointed out that the staff member in question had indicated on their profile that they could be contacted regarding CM-related matters. Well, shortly after my message, they decided that ”they are not in charge” of the CM stuff anymore…

But the chosen ones will also never give up on projects they were chosen, because why? i think they don´t care. for us others it is… and as long as viki think they don´t need to change things they wont do, also not the person in charge and not talking to us.

It’s just human to profit by the opportunity Viki gave them. The worrying thing is that’s create a Second in Command category of contributors, it’s against the always claimed Viki “inclusivity”. Yes, you can file a claim against the staff, but WHO will get this claim? Maybe the same person who is the cause of the problem. In the meanwhile, the REAL Viki community lives in its rabbit hole, fearing to speak out and lose the crumbles it can get with its silence. Well done @vikicommunity

I’m not a CM, but a TE. Still, I feel like not assigning subtitle teams is the most disrespectful action they can take. After all the time and effort and love that volunteers have put into VIKI, they don’t even seem to have the grace to explain themselves. The last 10 Chinese dramas that have appeared haven’t been assigned a subtitle team.
