Welcome to the Summer Subtitle Trails Challenge!

Start Date/Time: June 21, 2026 at 12:01 AM (UTC)

End Date/Time: July 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM (UTC)

Summer camp is a rite of passage for many – singing songs around a campfire, exploring trails, and staying up late bonding with your cabinmates. If you’ve never been to summer camp, no worries at all. Consider this challenge your introduction to the fun parts: community, milestones, and a little friendly cabin spirit!

How to participate:

1. Join a Cabin (for fun + community)

Cabins are a way to meet other Contributors and feel like you’re part of a smaller team. Cabins are not competitive – we’re not tracking total points by cabin.

Submit your Cabin form

Cabins:

  • Otter
  • Fox
  • Hawk
  • Bear

2. Roll Call (introduce yourself!)

After you submit the cabin form, reply on our Cabin Roll Call thread.

Please include your cabin + your goal for this challenge (just one sentence is perfect).

3. Welcome shout-outs

We’ll post shout-outs multiple times a week, so keep an eye out – feel free to welcome new campers in the roll call thread too.

4. Cabin badge (earned)

You’ll earn your cabin badge if you contribute at least 100 points at any time during the challenge.

5. Camper Trail badges (earned by points)

You can earn any of the badges below based on your total contribution points earned from the start of the challenge to the end of the challenge.

Camper (100 points) → Basecamp (250 points) → Creek Crossing (500 points) → Pine Ridge (1,000 points) → Lookout Point (2,500 points) → Summit (5,000 points) → Master Pathfinder (7,500 points) → Trail Legend (10,000 points) → Campfire Myth (15,000 points)

6. Top 100 badge (earned)

The 100 participants with the highest number of total contribution points will receive a special Top 100 badge.

7. UTC reminder (so nobody misses the deadline)

All challenge times are listed in UTC. Please convert your local date and time to UTC here

Helpful tips:

Joining late
You can join at any time during the challenge – contribution points count as long as you’re within the challenge window (June 21–July 12, 2026 UTC)

When badges are awarded
Badges will be awarded 7-15 days after the challenge ends.

I chose the bear because in addition to the positive traits, Bears are grumpy and I used to hate family summer camp at the beach because everything was full of sand and the air was so satly!

I choose the hawk to enjoy the view. Goal: moon :crescent_moon: :sweat_drops:

I choose the fox because I love them, they’re so clever and beautiful.

I’d choose the otter. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

They make the most of the warmer temperatures to spend more time active in the water. They swim frequently to keep cool, engage in more social play and feed on plentiful prey, such as crabs. What’s more, they take great care of their fur to keep it waterproof. :+1:

 This can encourage us to do things willingly when the weather is right.
