I have watched it, but I wasn’t that “engaged” in it. I probably had kind of the same feeling with it as with the drama Love Me If You Dare. Close but not, well … Maybe I watched too much of stuff like this in my younger years.
I started something new
It’s a recommendation of an old drama fan, who wrote to me after some time of silence and I think this one is my stuff, not too comedian like, like some other C-dramas I watched in the past weeks but not too serious either.
I just finished ‘Suits’ last night. PHS killed me in this one, and the chemistry with his male co-star Jang Dong Gun was outstanding. I am kicking myself for waiting to watch this drama until just before it’s set to leave Ntflx. If I had watched it earlier, I probably would have re-watched it a time or two already,
I actually didn’t watch the American version, so I can’t say if they are similar. Sorry. Was there something specific you didn’t like about it? If there was something you could explain, I could maybe try to tell you if there was something similar in this one. Or maybe someone out there has seen both and can give you a better answer.
I don’t know exactly why I didn’t mike it. Maube because it was too much (perfect lawyer etc), or maybe because it was so different from the reality. I am in a college law (in France not in America) and the reality it’s totally different.
In that case, I’d guess it’s probably similar. It does revolve almost entirely around the law firm and some of its lawyers, so I could see how you would probably find fault in it, being in the field yourself. I haven’t spent any time in that field, but even I feel like the lawyer profession and day-to-day life of a lawyer is often overly romanticized in film and TV in general. Things didn’t always go perfectly for the main characters, but there is a sense of ‘good guys always win’ in the end, though not without their trials and tribulations along the way.
Per your recommendation, I am now on ep 4 of Suits. Great so far. I’m loving the interaction between the young ‘fake lawyer’ and his mentor. The Jr. Partner lawyer (the older guy) is a complete dork/jerk but loved the part where he and the ‘fake lawyer’ go to the dance club/bar. Oh, and the fact that the mentor lawyer and the mentee young man are pretty easy on the eyes doesn’t hurt either.
I’m so glad I posted that it was leaving - actually my friend in the Philippines who is a big PHS fan told me to make sure to watch it before it leaves the network it is on. I have to watch it soon! Who doesn’t love PHS!!!
Oh no I had posted in Segue Cafe - Not wanting acknowledgement - @my_happy_place and I are basically twins! We seem to like all the same things - I was just glad to know it was leaving - like I said my 1 PHS friend I found in a fan site - was the one who has been telling me about it FOREVER
and reminded me that it was leaving. Do You Think VIKI will get it???
@my_happy_place has watched it I’m still trying to finish by 400,000 I started!

I started this crime/mystery/thriller with Ji Jin Hee, I haven’t seen him for long, this actor is like the wine, the older the better. I read somewhere, that he’s kinda the opposite of the perfect man, like in some dramas as he said in an interview The story starts with many stories and one has to follow carefully.
The other is the Police University: I look forward to a funny drama… start is good. Chae Tae Hyun as the ML plays really an annoying jerk, thinking he knows it all, but I think he will also change. All looks good so far!
This is really the heart of the whole drama. They are great! (And yes, easy on the eyes) That older Jr. Partner guy is sort of the ‘crazy second lead’ who’s always messing with the main ‘couple’. He plays the part well. Hope you enjoy the rest.
Viki might get Suits (emphasis on might) since it is not a Netflix production. I did check on Prime and it’s not there. I also checked my streaming service whose name shall not be spoken (they usually have almost everything!) and it isn’t on there either. That’s what spurred me on to start watching it. If you two hadn’t said something, I wouldn’t be watching it because it’s not my usual fare.
I loved it when he told the ‘fake lawyer’ that they were going out to a dance club/bar that night and they needed to wear bling. Their get-ups were soooooo funny, especially the big gold chain around the Jr. Partner’s neck. The blinged out hats were hilarious too!
I normally wouldn’t watch this type either, but PHS is one of my guys. It was well done, but I still can’t decide if I would have liked it if PHS was not the star. I suppose there are several other guys I would have liked in the role as well, but if it had been someone I didn’t know, I probably wouldn’t have given it a chance.
Well, Nevertheless is ongoing so it is not binge able if you are keeping up. I’ll tempt you with another NF offering; You Are My Spring. Romance/murder mystery/romantic angst/bromance. I think I am up to ep 12 and I’m finding it very watchable.
