What are you currently watching?

The Chinese titles are different and it’s not the same network. It’s not the first time this has happened. I admit it’s a bit annoying.

I watch BL dramas most of the time :

  • Semantic error (OMG love the chemistry, Park Seo Ham is so handsome :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)
  • TharnType (the acting is not always great but it’s a cute drama)
  • Cherry blossoms after winter (the main character makes me want to cry :frowning: )

It’s my 3rd month on viki, can’t wait to watch more great dramas !

Had me confuse at first too.

I was like, “wait a minute… didn’t I watch this last year?” lol

Just started the Fox Fairy while I wait for new eps of other shows. 3/4 into the first ep, I came here to see if anyone else is watching this and whether it gets better… So far it’s not bad per se, but the pacing seems WAY OFF what I would expect. If it weren’t for the synopsis I would be completely confused by his miraculous healing, injuries, etc.

So far it reminds me a little bit of The General’s Lady and other young general with arranged wife sent to the battlefront cdramas, but it’s as though it started halfway in. Not sure whether I’ll stick with this one.

I know I say this at least once a week, but A Business Proposal is SO GOOD! The writing, the acting, the comedy, the romance… it’s the drama I’ve been waiting for

Four episodes in, and the story is starting to take shape.
At first, Ahn Hyo Seop was a little stiff with his tsundere act(seemed like he was channeling PSJ’s character from WWWSK) but he’s eased into the role, making it his own. It feels so nice to see his growth as an actor… his character is so different from the one in 30 but 17. Its like he’s made a beautiful transition from being a supporting actor to good ML material.
I love the ML now. Looks like he’s going to hold his own in the very competitive field for good tsundere-softie CEO MLs with tragic backgrounds  I love that the writer pays attention to the little things, the little looks, the little actions… so immersing.

The FL is sooooo good! I have never watched Kim Sejeong before… she reminds me of Lindsay Lohan’s old movie characters, like Herbie and The Parent Trap. She’s your typical cheerful, clumsy, animated sweetheart FL, but she plays the role really really well. She balances the different sides of her personality very well.

I like how both ML and FL are dedicated to their jobs and share the love of experimenting with food. ML is a workaholic, and we actually see him working, for once in Dramaland  Though he doesn’t know who FL really is, he likes her inventive proposals and ideas(she’s a food researcher).

This is one of those dramas where I love the entire cast. FL and SFL have such a strong, funny friendship, and ML and SFL are like brothers. The grandfather is one of the highlights of the show… you know, that one hidden gem in the supporting cast. I loved him in Suspicious Partner, and I love him even more in this drama. He is a good, kindhearted, wise chaebol, when he’s not being a dorky kdrama fan pushing his grandson to have grandkids and punishing him for being a bad boyfriend :joy::joy: Every kdrama couple needs a good shipper, and this old man is the best.

I liked AHS in, Lovers of the Red Sky, so I’m looking forward to his role in this. He’s been improving at a good pace and I’m glad he’s gotten the opportunity for ML again right after LOTRS.

I watched Sejeong in School 2017 and I must say, she’s a natural actress for being an “idol.” There’s a lot of prejudice against idol actors/actresses but I personally adore them. I think Sejeong (from what I’ve seen of her) is doing well. Her last drama wasn’t that appealing but I’ll watch this one once it gets passed Ep. 9.

I’ll be finishing up Tears in Heaven tonight. I have to say, I am so disappointed in this C-drama. It started off with such promise and I watched probably the first 25 or 30 episodes with no problem because it was interesting. (It is a 41 episode drama. I read that it was originally slated to be 45 eps.) But then the storyline changed from romance (sparse) between the FL and ML to more of a business survival mode for the ML so it’s been tough for me to watch without fast forwarding. This will not be a re-watch for me. I’m just going to gut it out and finish since I am so close to the end. This one ended up not being my cup of tea.

I was a big fan of ‘Skate Into Love’, so I thought I’d probably like this drama. It’s really similar in so many ways. The two leads are really sweet and had great chemistry. Their particular story followed a lot of my favorite plotlines/tropes, and I really enjoyed them. They had a lot of the simple, flirty moments that come with new love - stuff I wish we got more of in romance dramas as a whole. Other than that, however, I ended up skipping a fair bit of this because I wasn’t as attached to the secondary characters. I realized that ultimately it made me want to rewatch ‘Skate Into Love’ rather than wanting more of this one. I do want more of this male lead, though (He was also really great in ‘Forever Love’).

I enjoyed the story too, like you said it is slow. and did finally finish it.

I am wanting to start watching this one, and hopefully it’s going to be a good one. but of course, a question pops up.

looks & sounds familiar, like, and don’t mean to sound like a wet blanket. but guess I will have to watch and see

to this one.

I’m on the eps 6. All the flashback is done so I’m waiting to see a little more action. Let’s see, I don’t know why, but I think that it could be a good one.

I finished Fashion King a few days ago and started watching When A Man Falls in Love (with Song Seung Heon) and I have to say, I like Fashion King a lot better. I wanted to see why people gave it such terrible ratings on mydramalist, and although I can understand why, I still liked the drama. In fact, I feel that it’s growing on me after finishing it.

I have never bawled my eyes out because of a simple “Good night,” but I did when I watched Fashion King. And although I didn’t and still don’t agree with the decisions that Jung Jae Hyuk made, one of the things he said really impacted me: Why should I be embarrassed, I’m expressing how I feel.

I was so into WAMFIL until the end of episode 14. I don’t think she’s going to be with the lead that I’d like her to be with, and the disappointment is so strong that I’ll probably take a break from that drama and look for something else.

*Sigh, I feel that I’ve become more fickle these days. I used to be more stubborn and I’d wait out the episodes, but now, if I’m not satisfied or interested, I just drop it.

I watched this while waiting for the episodes of the Chinese drama Reset. I honestly didn’t like the story too much. The acting is phenomenal, but the pacing was too slow for me. Where’s the tension in the story when I already know the female lead and male lead get together? I already know she loves him to bits, and same with him, but that doesn’t really make for a suspenseful ride. That’s where I felt the story slowed down.

Also, I tend to be easily confused with time loops and leaps unless it’s simple enough for me to follow, but I was very confused in this drama.
I do have to admit, the theme song, although very overplayed, is super catchy!

Viki got again some KDramas for the mature audience, I mean not idols or BL genre.
I started Kill Heel, this reminds me a bit Devil wears Prada which is also about women’s working environment including power play. - I just hope this drama will have a good flow. One lead was in 18 Again and the other in Mother.

The other one is Superior Day with Jin Goo that runs only on Sunday, so far it’s somewhat brutal as it involves cruel crimes. It’s perhaps not for the weak nerves, but I like the ML and thrillers are interesting.

In the middle of a few dramas, I finished:

This is a very quick watch. Finished it in one day. (20-25 min/ep)

I normally don’t watch BL (only seen like 2) but I really like Seoham. He’s the taller lead in here. One of the most gorgeous idols ~so dreamy~ in my honest opinion. I literally just wanted to stare at him. I think this is his first and only drama. He enlisted in the military right after he finished filming this. Lol

Anyway, this drama is VERRRRRRY vanilla. Like, on a scale of 1-5 it’s a 2 for spiciness. More bickering and subtle flirting than anything super romantic. If BL isn’t your cup of tea but you’re thinking about “trying” to watch one just to see, check out Semantic Error. The acting could be improved but it’s not that bad considering they’re both rookie/idol actors.

Yes. Yes, I would rewatch just to stare at Seoham again.:rofl:

Just started this one not sure why it showing in Spanish. lol Lucky Romance is the name of the drama.
Trying to finish this next drama. It had some parts that I was very bored with but the last 10 episodes have been good. Definitely love the chemistry between the main couples.

My favorite is this one! It is well written and has a talented cast!

Away from viki.com I am watching Reborn on Tubi It is really good.
