BIO: Yuki Furukawa is one of the most popular young Japanese actors working today. Born on December 18, 1987, in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki Furukawa grew up in Vancouver and New York, making him fluent in both English and Japanese. After making his television and film debut in 2011, he shot to fame after starring as the humorless genius Naoki Irie in the popular Japanese television drama series “Mischievous Kiss: Love in TOKYO” (2013) and its sequel “Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in TOKYO” (2014-2015) opposite actress Miki Honoka. Yuki Furukawa’s popularity has expanded well beyond Japan, especially into China, where he starred in the web drama “Mysterious Summer,” the first drama series that was jointly produced by Japan and China. He also was the first Japanese actor to hold a fan meeting in Shanghai in 2013.
FUN FACT: Yuki Furukawa was a student at Keio University in the Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of System Design Engineering.
