It’s so badly done. I don’t know which one is worse. Maybe the silver one…
I was trying to find logic in these colors. It all makes sense now. Thank you!
How far back do you mean, the 2 “inboxes” one private conversations and the other open conversation? With the color concept of orange and green? This far back?
I think the new logo is temporary, it’s to celebrate Pride Month.
I would like to keep it.
Its so PRETTY
Learned a new word LOL - btw. these were the kind of words I learned in kindergarten and proudly told them at home. My dad wasn’t so thrilled to be surprised like that. What do you think was his reaction?
No, I was talking about the way we send our PM to CM/Mod and such when I first was here back in 2013. I remember it was easier for me to send a PM.
PS I don’t remember it had colors though.I thought the PM were in Black and White?
Maybe I’m going senile bc I do’t remember colors back then in the inbox lol
Ha Ha I think I can guess quite accurately. Isn’t the enthusiasm of children to learn another language amazing?
But only a very narrow set of vocabulary though.
I figured that, but I hope they keep it in those colors since it’s so colorful and alive. Makes the page look so bright and happy.
Here’s a wrench no hammer though
I like it blue my favorite color is sky blue.
I guess it’s nostalgia, since it was that way when I found Viki. But, the colors are beautiful
This link is very informative, now if they’d be inclusive of the actual user’s ideas, we’ll begin to see some welcome changes.
Also, based on the article, we have fans here on Viki, who are more than qualified to be Leaders, and Elders.
(excerpt of article)
Trust Level 4 – Leader
Leaders are regulars who have been around forever and seen everything. They set a positive example for the community through their actions and their posts. If you need advice, these are the folks you turn to first, and they’ve earned the highest level of community trust, such that they are almost moderators within the community already.
Get to trust level 4 by…
- Manual promotion by staff only
- (Possibly via a to-be-developed election system in the future)
Users at trust level 4 can…
- Edit all posts
- Pin/unpin topic
- Close topics
- Archive topics
- Make topics unlisted
- Split and merge topics
- Reset topic bump date
- Daily like and edit limits increased by 3×
- Any TL4 flag cast on any post immediately takes effect and hides the target post
- Can send personal messages to an email address
We believe this trust system has been a success so far, as it leads to stronger, more sustainable communities by carefully empowering members, regulars, and leaders to curate and lead their own communities. But like everything else in Discourse, the trust system is evolving over time as we gain more experience with more communities. We’ll continue to update this post with any changes.
Oh,I love Blue too, and it’s also my favorite color and 70% of my blouses/pants/coat are blue or have blue in it. Oddly enough, I also love black and always decorated my house black and white until one day I said let me go wild and try RED (which I detest red), but ppl raved about my center wall in red. I also added red touches around my deco, until…I saw terra cotta in a wall, and I lived with a terracotta living room for more than 3 years, but I’m back to plain angelic color: white (black sofa and 2 leather swivel chairs) How long this will last? who knows…Maybe I’ll go all out and do a rainbow theme in my house. I need to analyze this more bc it will be a lot of work and $$$ involved.
I doubt they’ll keep the LOGO in RAINBOW color, and risk of being accused of ‘‘appropriation’’ like the told Justin Bieber for styling his hair with braids. Why can’t we just all get along in peace? lol
The absurd idea that only certain people can wear braids is lost on me
You probably did watch it before in some sense.
I love comfy, reliable ensemble dramas, and dramas about families with multiple generations of people going through all sorts of trials and tribulations suck me in every time.
And all the ones I’ve watched seem to be done mostly in a studio with a few shots done on location (whereas idol dramas seem to be done mostly on location with a few studio shots). And the studio sets seem to be the same from drama to drama, dressed differently depending on how they decide to “tweak the tropes.”
If Discourse had the option of creating private groups or rooms or whatever, it would be really fun to go over all the variants of family dramas. Sustaining interest over . . . 96 episodes!!! . . . has got to be a real test of ability for everyone involved.
Depends on what side of Lockdown 2020 the absurd idea of braided hair is viewed from. And who people think they have to placate in order to avoid being more humiliated, misrepresented, and threatened than before.
This is from the student online newspaper of the Mississippi School of Mathematics and Science, a residential high school for gifted students. It is an ethnically diverse school.
According to the online student newspaper for the Mississippi University for Women, the high school is pretty awesome, filled with students who know how to think for themselves if they know how to do anything. Freaks and geeks kowtow to nobody.
https://www.muw.edu/news/363-msms-ranked-one-of-america-s-top-high-schools
"Located in Columbus, on The W campus, MSMS is the state’s only public, residential high school specifically designed to meet the needs of Mississippi’s most academically gifted students. Students who attend the school spend their junior and senior years living on the school’s campus and engaging in college level classes in mathematics, science, the humanities and the arts.
“On average, MSMS graduating classes are offered in excess of $12.5 million in scholarship offers each year. In 2012, Newsweek Magazine and The Daily Beast named MSMS as one of the best high schools in America. It was the only Mississippi high school to make the list.”
So, the article in the MSMS student online newspaper doesn’t make any sense except in terms of some type of coercion.
And the concern about the particular shape and style of “appropriated” braids? Please. Before the invention of cutting tools, was there any ancient culture without some type of braids to keep hair under contro?
Speaking of nosy, how about this badge: ![image|451x451]
Badge for watching 23 different scenes in which an aunty or granny asks a grandson, “And who is this young lady? She doesn’t look like your math tutor.”
I beg your pardon, but my fangirling is not super-secret. It’s weird in that it centers on food porn in family dramas. Is there a budae jjigae badge? I win! I have 57,000 of those!
57000 of what??
here you go
I like your avatar change, that expression
OH SNAP - I was not even trying for this one!!!
Only 6 other people have Higher Love! Wow!
hahahahahaha!
I just got this 4 min ago
And those 6 are my friends!!!
