… Mmm, what does he mean or what did you understand?
'If living is worse than dying, then what am I, who’s next to you?"
That’s a famous line from Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Without giving away too much in case you haven’t watched it, it’s really important to remember that our pain is also shared by those who care about us. We can’t just assume that our actions won’t affect them too.
I think in pain people tend to forget that because someone else can’t take the pain for another even though this person will suffer too.
Are all quotes with historical clothing from this drama?
It looks interesting.

And that’s why I continue to make posts on this subject, in hopes that maybe I can reach just one person, just one person to realise that he or she is loved, and if they disappeared, others, even strangers from across the world, would also be pained.
Yes, all the quotes are from Sungkyunkwan Scandal, one of the greatest Kdramas ever. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Thanks for the tip I didn’t know the drama yet and will try it. Luckily it is available for me.
It would be nice when more people get the chance to feel some light in their darkest hours so they won’t be consumed by despaired darkness.
We have to be that light, Yes, even when we ourselves are suffering. Maybe we can be each other’s light.
Please watch it. You won’t regret it, I promise.
PS: Thank you for the song.
I have not watched this drama! I don’t often watch dramas.
Could you give more hints on what the drama is about?
Instagram is also great for quotes!
As soon as I feel like opening other kinds of books and find some quotes, will put a few here.
Lol sometimes, I feel like I’m back in church.
Just kidding around Got to laugh in life
Like that we could talk naturally from good to sad things at a moment’s notice.
Well, it’s part of the Women in disguise genre that usually features young girls who are feed up with society’s inequality, so they dress up as boys in order to help out their families and prove that they, too, are just as intelligent and skilled as their male counterparts. Sungkyunkwan Scandal, in particular, does a wonderful job at this. I mean, it put Park Min Young on the map. It also tackles other hard-hitting subjects that ripple throughout the entire Joseon Kinkdom and hopefully our society as well. You’ve seen a bit of that with the quotes I posted. Anyway, it’s a classic. You’ll love. If you’re going to watch just one drama, then choose Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
That sounds interesting, thanks. I like such stories.
I really loved Sungkyunkwan Scandal bc the real message in the drama was the inequality women have faced through the ages, and the way they have fought against it.
But I also wanted to mention the quotes that keep me in check and give me strength throughout my painful experience in life;
‘‘There’s no such thing as good or bad but thinking makes it so.’’ Albert Ellis.
‘‘No one can make you inferior without your consent.’’ Eleanor Roosevelt.
“There is no worse blind man than the one who doesn’t want to see. There is no worse deaf man than the one who doesn’t want to hear. And there is no worse madman than the one who doesn’t want to understand.” -Ancient Proverb
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.’’ Albert Einstein.
Someone shared this text with me and I think it’s something for this thread:
Ignore the 1-2 ad lines, could have happened by the English translation option or so…
