Give Goddess of Marriage another chance.
You are right, episodes 11 through 19 almost got me to stop watching it because they are SO depressing. But the story picks up again at episode 20 and has been engaging (and enraging viewer’s passions) ever since. The writers have created great characters, the premise is good, and the acting superb. They just have not mastered the pacing of the story. My only fear is it will fall apart again now that it has been extended to 36 episodes.
This was the only Hong sisters series I didn’t care for. Don’t know what they were thinking but it just never came together. They redeemed themselves with Master’s Sun.
Same here, I like Goddess of Marriage, for around 8 ep I thought things were boring, but after they met again ( JH and HW) things are getting better.
Yikes! 36 episodes??
Hmm, my limit is 24 episodes and my preference is 16! Hmm, maybe I’ll wait until it ends and watch the last 2 episodes. 
I’m with you Ajumma… if they go over 20 episodes, I have to seriously think about taking it on.
I really loved Scent of a Woman, what did you dislike in this drama ?
For Goddess of Marriage, I thing the name doesn’t suit this drama… But I don’t like not finish a drama or a book…and I want to see the couple of Jeju Island again >_<
Why I don’t recommend “Scent of a women”:

For god’s sake who is going to marry someone who is obsessed and has parents like that while just met an other guy who makes your heart beat? And supporting roles are really boring. Just sister was little abit OK at the beginning. That’s all. And leading guy definetely doesn’t love his gf but still gets engage and has marriage talks, etc. eventhough himself and his mother get humiliated that much!!
I loved her at “Sweet Spy” . I am so sorry but this drama is really annoying…
In my country we are used to watch dramas that are over 100 ep, so I a kind of used to it. I also prefer shorter dramas, but depending on the story I can watch weekend dramas
I totally agree with your list. I started watching these dramas but couldn’t get myself to finish. For example, BOF, I’ve tried watching it at least 5x thinking that maybe this time around I may have changed my mind, but no. After 5th episode , I have to give up because I just can’t stand the lead girl.
Others I couldn’t finish: Nail Shop Paris, You’re Beautiful, Mary Stayed Out All Night, To The Beautiful You, Playful Kiss. Some might like these dramas, but they’re not for me.
Now, I wouldn’t recommend BIG, Fashion King , Full House 2 and Dream High 2.

I know it is a top drama for many people, but for some reason I didnt think it was good.
I’ve never really understood what was so great about You’re Beautiful either. I mean, I don’t think it’s a bad drama, but it never proved to be as amazing to me as other people made it seem.
Yes, You’re Beautiful is a nice drama but not an amazing drama, the plot is too ‘plain’ for that. But I still want a pig rabbit plush toy, it’s too cute

When a Man Loves was all over the place and the girl single handedly ruined it, even the talented eye candy that is Song Seoung HOT couldn’t save it. Her performance was so wooden her nickname should be Pinocchio.
I was planning to watch it later but then I saw a scene when the main girl was making out with another guy and I don’t have stomach too see this, so I just gave up on haha
