Finalement, lors d’une précédente conversation, un contributeur avait dit, qu’une année, il(elle) avait reçu des autocollants (de nourriture coréenne). Cela m’avait fait rire et je m’attendais donc à un truc du genre avec impatience et sourire aux lèvres.
Les achats en ligne, c’est pas vraiment mon truc, du coup je regrette de ne pas pouvoir l’offrir à un autre contributeur.
Je vais donc faire ma liste au Père-Noël Viki pour l’année prochaine.

Online shopping is not really my thing, so I regret not being able to offer it to another contributor.

I just got mine today. I haven’t redeemed it yet, because I wanted to consult you guys as it does seem quite different from last year’s from the get-go. Do we still have the option for the Visa Credit Card like last year? That was my only option last year and it was quite useful as it was accepted in the international online vendors that I use and I wanted to use it in the same way. Those of you that chose the credit card, is it the same as last year’s? Because all I had to do then was just input the numbers like any other credit card to buy something and that was it, which was pretty easy and convenient.

I’ve already redeemed mine (Masrtercard Virtual) and used it for groceries. I added the card to my Apple Wallet and made the payment in a regular grocery store as I would do with my card usually. I live in Finland, so I’m not sure if it’s more complicated elsewhere, but the card should work exactly the same as a physical card

Thanks for the info! Last year I chose the virtual card too. I don’t have the Apple Wallet, but I used it the same way I use my other card for online shopping. If it’s the same this year, then that’s great.

only mastercard… I’m a bit disappointed because I don’t have much choices. I can choose an ikea gift card too… but it’s not like I’m planning to buy something there for the moment

I understand. Judging from last year, I think the card is also the only option for me too. But in my case, even if I have the Ikea gift card, I can’t spend it since we don’t have one here. Hahaha!

Perhaps this will help you. You can register the Mastercard as a means of payment at A mazon, for example, and then shop and pay there. However, the amount must not be higher than 25$.

Looks like the card is not getting activated
First, thank you to everyone who posted about how to access and use the 2024 Year-End Digital Gift. I chose the Mastercard Prepaid Virtual Debit Card. To the person who asked if it was the same as the Visa prepaid card: Yes, I believe so. I think you use it the same way for online transactions
Using the prepaid virtual debit card is tricky in my area, so I did a search. Most people recommended using it to pay for gas, groceries, cell phone bills, utility bills if you can pay for these types of things online or if you have access to a Digital Wallet.
One person recommended adding the prepaid Mastercard to their PY PL account.
Another recommended add it to AMZN.
I decided to use it on AZN as the best option for my situation. Before I did anything, I followed the steps in the message I got in the Viki Mail to redeem my Gift, and then carefully followed the steps to choose and activate the Mastercard Prepaid Virtual Debit Card. I wrote down all the information about my card.
Finally, I went to AZN. You have 2 options: Buy an AMZN Gift Card at the website and use the Mastercard Prepaid Debit Card to pay for it for the full amount of $25. Or. Reload Your Balance, input $25, and use the Mastercard Prepaid card as the payment method for the reload. Since I already have an account, I decided on the reload option. I added the card as a payment method in my Account, then went to Gift Cards and clicked on Reload Your Balance. I followed the steps and got the $25 in my Gift Card Balance 5 minutes later. Using the Gift Card options, I don’t have to worry about expiration dates or about keeping my AZN order to $25 exactly since if I go over that amount, I can use another payment method to cover the overage when using Gift Card Balance option.

You can get around the $ amount by using the Mastercard to pay for a A**MAZ*N Gift Card. Once the $ is in your Gift Card balance, you can shop as normal. If the amount is more than the Gift Card balance, you can use another form of payment to pay the difference.

No, that’s not possible. If you are over the 25$, you will receive a mail from A mazon and you should change the payment method. I tried it and had to cancel the order.
But you can top up your balance at A mazon with the credit on your Mastercard and then you can buy something else with this balance in the next step.

I don’t know. It worked for me. I placed an order and used my Gift Balance to pay for part of it. ■■■■■■ deducted the Gift balance to zero and then charged my credit card on file to pay the rest.
Actually, I think we are saying the same thing: Put all of the Mastercard $25 as a Gift Card first. Then after that is done, place an order and use gift card balance to pay for it, right? For me, AMZ always automatically deducts the gift card balance and then will charge my credit card on file for the remainder if the gift card balance doesn’t cover the total amount. So if my total is $30, they deduct $25 from GC balance and charge $5 on my credit card, saying I must pay $5.

I’m totally stuck in this.

It would be nice if this can be accessible or if you can substitute with something that can be used in India without too much hassle.

What should I do if I did everything they request and added my card to (my card wallet) but I can’t use it whenever I try to buy something it decline as if the card isn’t valid or not active. It’s so frustrating.

and suggested a Viki pass for a few months that I can give to someone else. That’s my personality and I understand that it isn’t for everyone.
