Happiness k-drama

I was taking it in the Biblical dimension/realm so I thought you noticed that, too. I guess not, and now it has a new purpose in your life; HOTTIE POSSIE OVERLORD. You are so unique I never saw it that way…lmao,:heart::heart::heart::heart:

Well let me explain…For example, ANDREW was one of Jesus disciple, and the ‘‘throne’’ was a mockery towards religion too since the supposedly Christian couple were more corrupted than anyone else there. i was trying to say they are disrespecting religion in the way they are portraying it in some of the Asian dramas lately. In Dark Hole; the religion was turned into something so sacrilegious, it was offensive at times (for me/myself and I).

I understand totally - I realize Andrew is a disciple - I see where you might be going with that. However I still lean towards it being more of a master of my domain - master of my castle - master of GREED maybe.

DOOM had so many wonderful RELIGIOUS under tones and meanings I loved it.

As I previously stated that I think the 7 deadly sins were shown by the writer in Happiness.

Brilliant I do think the deep thought into showing these sins was just brilliant

That’s why I felt ANDREW should have been the savior and good one there at least, and he turned out to be the worst one there.

There needs to be a balance between GOOD and EVIL in dramas, and if you open your eyes more, you will see that in Asian dramas, evil always win, and good always end up defeated. or more like accepting that good can never win over evil. That’s how I see it though.

Respectfully - again - I want you to have your opinions - however - I do feel like I have been shown some wonderful examples of religion in dramas such as DOOM or Goblin - and I am sure there are a few more and even movies - I saw a lot in DOOM in the story that others missed - so I do think my eyes are open - I don’t think that there is a commentary against Christianity and the fact that good loses and evil winning out. Even in Tail of the Nine Tail - everything comes around for good in the end! I’m hoping that we can AGREE to Disagree but know that I understand where you might see things differently than me.

You don’t have to kick me for that!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well, I only saw [DOOM] not the others you mentioned here, and you haven’t seen the ones I mentioned except this one [Happiness] which ironically I haven’t finished.

GOD talks to each and everyone of us in different ways, as long as we never stop listening to HIM.

How did everyone forget about the jobless guy’s mother?
She did get infected. Are her scenes deleted in the editing?

She’s in the last episode.

Hyun finds jobless guy takes him to his parents apartment, then when you see them next mom sitting on the couch in a bathrobe with her hands tied, dad is sitting next to her, with a towel tied around his neck, presumably for protection, next to dad is jobless guy who is tied to the couch, loud knocking, in burst the Feds, both mom and kid get dragged out by the Feds with dad telling them she’s not dangerous they are just fine. Or something to that effect.

I think as human beings we tend to look for balance in fictional settings because our real world is unbalanced. You said that Asian dramas tend to steer towards the idea that EVIL cannot totally be defeated. Well, I say that’s so very similar to life. How much EVIL do you see in the world compared to GOOD? A whole lot more. Do we need to acknowledge that GOOD can still triumph over EVIL? Absolutely. However, we must also acknowledge that once one bad guy leaves the scene (in real life), a new bad guy will always take his place.

So, in “Happiness”, we had the original bad guy in the form of 601 jerk, then you had the Chairman they kept locked up in a freezer because he refused to die, and finally you have Andrew, the serial killer, the guy who was evil before the infection went rampant. You could also throw in there the Building Rep, the Lt. Colonel, and even some of the infected that appear throughout the show. All the while you have our little light in the darkness, our two lead characters, who still prevail over everything.

If this show isn’t an accurate depiction of GOOD vs. EVIL in real life, I don’t know what is. The reality of how people view others often comes to light in difficult situations, and I’m glad the writers didn’t sugarcoat anything in this respect.

Ah, I love the smell of philosophical arguments at 7:00 in the morning! Bring it on!!!

So as I’m watching SEARCH, I think I have to clarify that the humans/creatures in this drama probably wouldn’t fall under the zombie category. Their bodies physically change shape and color. Zombies just stay the same.
Technically, I believe this falls under monster category.
But it is definitely a horror flick. So glad I’m watching it!
And the FL in this drama is kickass fearless!!!

We called them kind of like zombie werewolves like Happiness was vampire zoombies!!! LOL

In reality, they weren’t any of those things, but we always seem to come up with nicknames for everything, no matter the circumstances.

Easier to communicate that way!!! LOL!!!

We’re not creative enough to come up with new terms for these things. LOLs
So we revert to things already in existence. Like zombies, werewolves, vamps, monsters, aliens, etc.
I bet Shakspeare would cringe to see how unimaginative the human race has become.

That’s a true assessment, at least for me. Maybe we should have gone with the generic and even less creative ‘superhuman’. Or, I guess one could say they were more closely related to Spiderman, the irradiated man, than to any of the other mythical creatures.

I’m sorry I wasn’t around to answer you sooner, but I’m elated/pleased that your philosophical mood was uplifted so much that it brought happiness into your heart, and I’m glad I was part of bringing you that happiness.

But in all fairness to my part, you must remember I didn’t see episode 11 and 12 nor I know how it ends; so I am so happy you explained that to me so I don’t stay with the image that in that particular drama evil once again won, over good.

All ‘‘I know’’ so far is, that the serial killer Andrew disappeared, was never caught in the drama by the police, and can continue his diabolical killing of innocent people just like in [Dark Hole] and many other dramas I’ve seen.

Is not a matter of sugarcoating things for me since I’m only one viewer, one person. You need to step on my shoes too, and see it the way I see it, and not the way you elaborately described it to me. You need to remember we are 2 different individuals and totally different thinking. We have different upbringing, therefore what I see is what I have lived through my life and own experiences.

There can be more GOOD winning over all the Evil; than what they mostly do in Asian dramas a lot lately, where there’s too much Evil and very little Good fighting and winning against all that evilness.

I could give you great examples of dramas, but I’m so BAD with titles that don’t know how I can find them so you can watch them. I bet you won’t even bother to watch [Dark Hole]…and maybe, just maybe…you can see what I see in Asian dramas about this imbalance of Evil vs Good; that maybe you haven’t seen yet bc you are not there yet when it comes to watching a lot of these type of dramas.

I’m not arguing with you about the things you wrote, if anything it was wonderful and amazing to read, and I thank you so much bc it did gave me a small amount of comfort. But then again, I still stand by my statement that I feel Asian dramas glorify evilness more, and make Good as defeated, accepting, but definitely, never winning.

I hope you check [Dark Hole] no idols or hunk can be expected, just great actors.

It’s true that Andrew disappeared for a short time, but in the end he was killed by our ML. I can’t speak for all other Kdramas (as you know, I try to avoid ones with bad outcomes), but Happiness definitely had a good ending. Everyone who deserved it, got their comeuppance, and our heroes got their happy ending.
